JKKJ JCFO CHEROKEE

It is with great sadness that we have lost our great buck CHEROKEE on 2/12/08. We had noticed that he was unable to urinate so we rushed him to the vet on 2/9/08. The vet worked for three days trying to remove a stone. We where going to take him to Texas A&M for them to operate but there was a very high chance he would not be able to breed and it was going to cost an arm and a leg. Not that we didn't want to try but we had to set a limit. So the vet where he was said that he could keep trying to remove the blockage by running a catheter and flushing with a solution to see if it would break up. After three trys it wasn't working. So we decided to let him go to goat heaven. This was a very difficult decision but he had already suffered several days. We are fortunate that we had him collected so he will live on in our herd. CHEROKEE was an exceptionable buck that had very nice kids. He was born and raised here. With bucks sometimes being very aggresive, CHEROKEE was not. When we entered his pen he would keep his distance. We actually had to rope him to trim his feet and worm him or what ever needed to be done. We are going to try and start doing some A.I.'n this year so we can keep CHEROKEE alive. He will be missed but never forgotten.
REST IN PEACE CHEROKEE

ADDED LIMOUSIN HERD PAGE
SHOW PAGE HAS BEEN UPDATED 12/3/07
HERD SIRE PAGE HAS BEEN UPDATED
We have recently purchased a black buck out of Nell's Black Gumbo and a D. L. Turner Buck. PATHWAYS BLACK LIGHTENING is now on our herd sire page. We have also purchased a few more red percentage does. A couple of them are grand daughters of T4 Scorpio and one is a grand daughter of SB1 Codi Red Man. We are hoping to bring a little more color into our family. We will start kidding in December. We have added a couple of pictures on our FOUNDATION DOE PAGE of our red percentages. Hope to have some more pictures added soon. Keep checking back.
We have also purchased a Homozygous Red Limousin Bull (SVL POLLED LEADER) from Stone Valley Limousin in Cashion, OK. He is out of SVL POLLED PROFIT (Goldenview Krugerrand) and SVL POLLED LEGEND (MH Velocity). We are hoping to have some nice POLLED calfs by next year.

We are Jeff and Cindy Foree and we are located in Rosharon, Texas which is about 30 miles south of Houston. We have been raising Fullbloods and Percentage Boer goats since April of 2000. We both have fulltime day jobs so we have a small herd consisting of about 20 to 25 foundation does and two herd sires. Over these years we have worked very hard to continuously improve our genetics. Whether it's for production or show quality, we have been very pleased with our results and will continue to work even harder. In 2003 we started hitting the ABGA Sanctioned Shows. We have done well and right now it's the only vacations we have since the farm takes all of our extra time. But we love going to the shows and visiting with others that have the same goal in mind. Quality!
Some of our genetics include: RRD Gauge, Eggs Ryals Magnum, several EGGS, DER War Paint, Toro, RRD Magnums Beauty, Ryals Top Brass, DOW Pipeline, Hart's Super 85
We also raise registered Limousin Cattle. We have been in the Limousin business since 1988. Like the goats we have a small herd which consist of 10 to 12 cows and one bull. Occasionally we will have one AI'd.
