Batman
Poison Ivy

I love Uma Thurman's costume during that ball, but I decided that since I was wearing it for Halloween, I'd make it my own. I bought a gorgeous green gown, sewed plasitc ivy vines all over it, and sewed individual ivy leafs to the straps. I came out quite nice. I'll eventually post a photo when I find one. :) BTW, I will eventually make this costume as it is from the movie. Keyword eventually.
Harley Quinn

I LOVE Harley Quinn! Like Poison Ivy, she is a villian from Batman. She works for the joker. She is so funny. This is a planned project. After Poison Ivy (nobody knew who I was), I'm going to wait a bit before working hard on it. Maybe if she shows up in the Batman Begins sequel.
Phantom of the Opera
Christine Daae's Nightgown (2004 movie)
For some reason I liked this. I hate how the skirt has that huge cut in it, though. Sure it helps her walk around, but it is a BIT showy. So I'm not going to add that in. One thing that I AM going to add is a chemise. So far I have the robe and the corset done. Word of advise: if you can buy a corset instead of making one, DO IT! It doesn't matter how much it is! Sewing was always my stress-buster, but that corset just gave me stress. The corset is finally finished, it fits, and it looks lovely! Now I'm working on the darn chemise. I have the regular fabric done, but I'm looking for white lace in the scrap bins at Walmart so I don't have to buy a whole yard for the sleeves, and I'm thinking of buying a nice lace yoke online, but I'm looking for something cheap. I wonder if Joann's has yokes...This is not gonna be exactly like the one in the film in the end. I should probably just stick this in misc. as victorian underwear, shouldn't I? Oh well. It will look similar I guess. Or maybe I'll try and make it like the movie. I don't know.
Christine Daae's 'Don Juan Triumphant' Costume (2004 movie)
Once again, I don't know why I like it.Once again, there is something that I don't like about it. The straps of the top keep on falling down. Mine doesn't do that. I like the straps on, thank you very much. This costume is COMPLETE!!!! I'm so happy. This is probably going to be my Halloween backup if I dress up this year. I don't trick-or-treat anymore, but I love handing out candy, and I might as well dress up!
Ooh, I probably shouldn't have used the black backdrop. You can't tell where the corset ends now. Ugh, that tight corset and it doesn't even show it! Grr. Oh well. Actually, it's not all that tight. I added two inches to each back side so that it wasn't too tight. *grins* Oh, and eventually I'll add the little 'tabs' to the skirt, add the designs to the sarong thing, and find a black and burgundy rose patterned fabric. I was just so excited about basically finishing it that I decided to post it early.
9/20/06:Yes, I'm attempting at adding dates to my updates. Doesn't work all that much. Anyhow, I'm a step closer to redoing the top. I've got a confession. The white part is actually a strapless bra with lace on top of it. It doesn't look like it, huh? So I took some white lace, a seam ripper, and went to work. I ripped off all the lace trim on the bra, and created a t-shirt-esque thing with white lace. Then I put the trim on the top, tied it into a bow at the front center, and all that good stuff. It looks nice now, more similar to the actual costume. New pics when I finish the yet to be started corset.

*sigh* you know I'm back in school when I don't even have to look up the date for this. Being a freshman is not fun! I kept on wondering why everyone hated us, then I realized that we hated the 7th graders last year for no reason, so that makes sense now. I really do get a kick out of the older classes calling us the "little freshman", especially because I'm taller than most of them. LOL. Anyhow, on with the costume! Started the inner-lining for the corset. It is going to be shorter than the actual one, but it will have (hopefully) the same effect when it comes to shape. Plus, it won't have gussets like my original one did. PLUS, I'm going to find a nice patterned fabric for the outer layer. *looks at the picture of my costume* Wow. Either I added too much contrast to that pic in photoshop, or I had an Oompa Loompa tan over the summer. :/
Christine Daae's 'All I Ask Of You' Costume (2004 movie)
Yes, I HATE Raoul. Yes, I am an E/C phan. So why the heck would I make this costume? The answer is simple: I already have the cloak, and I have a TON of pink fabric left over from Aleera. I WAY over-estimated how much fabric I needed for that, and I promised my mom I'd use up the left over fabric. Plus, for some weird reason, "Why Have You Brought Me Here/Raoul I've Seen Him" is one of my favorite songs. I have no clue why. It's completely anti-Erik, but I love it. *dodges tomatoes from the rabid E/C phans*

So far I have the cloak which I bought for Little Red Riding Hood, and I've got the pink material for the skirt left over from Aleera. My layering for the skirt is in order from inner-->out: solid medium-pink, light pink shiny organza, light pink tulle. The order is so that they cover up the layer beneath it. The solid layer has indented stripes in it, so the shiny organza covers that a bit. Then the tulle covers the shiny-ness of the organza. Plus the layers give an illusion of more layers than there actually are. It looks quite nice. :)
12/30/06: The skirt and corset have switched roles on me with this costume. The skirt is almost done and didn't give me too much of a headache, but the corset is driving me insane! The material I bought is too light so I have to have a layer underneath it, but they won't go together. It's frustrating. I'll make it work eventually. The material is so pretty! It's white cotton with a pink rose pattern on it. *prays for it to work next time I take a crack at it*
Van Helsing
Marishka

This was my first costume. I love the designs on it. It really is a beautiful costume. Yes, it is kinda...erm...revealing, but do not fear. I will NEVER post a picture of me wearing it. I don't even think it fits anymore anyhow. Maybe I'll find a cheap mannequin...
Aleera

I love Aleera. She is probably my favorite bride. She is so crazy! I can't stand that they cut out her scene at the Masquerade ball. She had some great lines!
Aleera's Masquerade dress

I'm thinking about making this one once I figure out what it looks like. :) I have a picture of the crown though! :p
Other
Little Red Riding Hood Original Design

I've got a thing for creepy versions of fairytales. I also designed something for "Malice in Wonderland", but it would have required the dress to be white, and I don't have enough money for that. When it's white material, it ends up being see-through, and I can't go off and buy double material of what I need. So I was wandering around Wallymart one day, moping about my dilema, when I came aross black and red plaid material in the $1.00 rack. Eureka! So this will be my halloween costume this year. Goodbye Corpse Bride! *sniff*
9/20/06: So far I've bought a bright red velvet cape for $13 something (what, did you expect me to make one? I can't buy white cotton for goodness sake!). It's really pretty, but the button closure was loose, so I bought black frogs and sewed those one. For the life of me I can't understand why they call them frogs, but they're pretty, so whatever. I've also made my black apron. I love my apron! It's so cool. I've also sewed the top together. It's really loose, so I'm going to have to think of a way to gather it in a bit. Hemmed the skirt. I'm going to gather it over the weekend I think.
12/30/06: Ok, as usual, my plans didn't work out! Big surprise there. I was updating this page when I realized I haven't added anything to this. Heh-heh. Sorry. I did do this for Halloween, and it looked great. The only thing I actually sewed though was my plaid top. Skirts hate me, so I wore a grunge-style black skirt I have instead. It still looked great though. Pictures eventually. Dear old dad took the pics and hasn't burned a CD for me yet.
Emily aka the Corpse Bride

I loved the Corpse Bride. It was a nice gothic romance, plus there was a bit of comedy. Emily's dress was really pretty, too. She was dead, but she was still beautiful in a weird way. I'm going to buy a cheap wedding dress at Goodwill, soak it in tea (it gives it an old look.), and make some tears in it.
Jadis the White Witch

Not only did I love her costume, but Tilda Swinton amazed me in her role as the white witch. She could act so sweet, but be so cold at the same time. It was one of those characters who you love to hate. And her crown is awsome!
Elektra

The beginning of Elektra was great. She was headstrong, and proved that she could kick *** and that she didn't need help. But then as the movie progressed, they made her seem weaker. It was good that she finally got a conscience, she still should have kept her headstrong quality. But her costume was great. It's red color shows that she doesn't care if she's caught-she'll just kill you. A saying comes to mind: if looks could kill.
Elizabeth Swann's Plum Gown

I love Pirates of the Caribbean, and this dress. It's so beautiful. I'm crazy about it. It is going to be hard, but I'm up for the challenge. It should be great when it's done.
(July 19, 2006: As of right now, I sort of hate Elizabeth, if you've seen the 2nd movie you know why, and this is going on hold until she rights her wrongs!)
Katrina's black + white striped dress
I do like this dress probably the best, but I don't like certain parts of it. But I was browsing through research sites, and I found a site that made a dress inspired by this one, and it looks great. So I'll probably do something like that. The link is here.

Simplicity 4092 looks nice for this.
Amy Lee's 'Lithium' dress
From what I've seen of it so far, it's beautiful. I already have a corset for it, I'll just have to add a white satin outer-lining thing to it, and lace. I have a pattern for the skirt that would work out ok. I'll have to buy a pattern for the blouse, but I've already found one by Simplicity. I'll add pictures from the video once I manage to get good quality ones.

The corset is done and looks wonderful. I had to go to Ross and buy a blouse and a base skirt, 'cause sheer material and skirts hate me. Even worse when you put them together. So I've altered a blouse I bought, and I've added ragged chiffon to the skirt. I'm such a strange person. I can sew a corset in practically two days but I can't do something as simple as a skirt or shirt.
