How you can help with sponsorship and/or prayer
The minimum we ask of sponsors is £150 p.a. per boy, to cover basic costs. Some give £200 (which becomes over £250 to Albella through tax refund via Gift Aid for UK taxpayers, all the administration being done by Stewardship Services which most of our sponsors use).
All cheques for “Albella Boys Home” should be sent direct to the Treasurer, not to Albella, or paid direct to Lloyds Bank.
Your boy will write to you once a year; many sponsors write back direct (or through the Administrator), and some UK children write to India and so learn to care more for others.
Christmas/birthday gifts are optional extras: instead of posting parcels to India, many sponsors send a cheque to the Administrator who emails Heshron so the boy gets his money at once.
Some sponsors save themselves that effort by instructing the Administrator that £10 for Christmas and £10 for birthday is included in their Stewardship direct debit.
Irrespective of these extras, each sponsored boy is given a good Christmas present by the Principal, thus treating them all equally. Instead of posting clothes, the UK Committee now sends cash.
