       Welcome to the site of Alloa Patricia Mercier,                  Visionary Artist, working in oils/prints/mixed media.

 
I am a life-long artist and craftsperson, having worked professionally with making pottery, cast metalwork and mosaics as well as fine art.

I paint panels, normally three as a triptych, with visionary scenes to create your own individual modern ‘altar piece’. Some of the themes I have worked with have been dolphins, Ancient Egypt, the Chakras, Angels, the Island of Iona, the Green Man, the goddess as well as numerous visionary Maya images (based upon the Maya teachings from Central America). The specially shaped panels use oil or acrylic paints and mixed media such as crystals, shells and found objects. Please contact me if you would like a unique piece of visionary artwork.

 

I have studied wisdom teachings with Maya shamans and Elders. Reflecting this, my latest work is a collection of prints all with a Maya theme, showing elements from their teachings and symbology. The prints use the techniques of lithography, lino cuts and collagraphy as well as mixed media.
