Wemsley Park
located in Exeter, Devon, England

Wemsley Park is an private facility, focused on breeding top-quality sporthorses geared towards excellence in the English disciplines. Our method is simple -- one cannot breed the next Dressage star without putting in the necessary talent, experience, and fortitude -- hence, our horses are not bred until they have demonstrated ownership of those specific qualities.

Our breed focus is narrow; we house Selle Francais, Section B Welsh Ponies, Gypsy Vanners, and Thoroughbreds. Our herd is small; we house 4 stallions, 2 geldings, 7 mares, and 1 colt. But, our talent is expansive; we house 4 National Champions, all 4 of which possess a single merit, 2 Grand Champions and 5 Champions. Our string may be small, but it is strong, and it has potential.

Summer 2007 has been very eventful and fulfilling for Wemsley. We have expanded our facilities slightly to accomodate the newest additions to our herd. We've constructed a second small, 10-stall barn, and we've added showing facilities to facilitate Cross Country, Dressage, Stadium Jumping, and Hunter events.

Since the beginning of summer, Wemsley has brought on 4 new horses. Bronwen, a 1997 Hunter mount, rounds out our Welsh Pony program. We've brought in a new Gypsy Vanner mare, named Constance. And we recently adopted 2 Selle Francais from the Volte Humane Society: Damorai, a fresh Eventing mount, and Maverick NCh.+, a seasonsed Hunter horse. We're excited to see how these new additions fair in the show ring in the future!

Wemsley is proud to welcome some new equines to its herd! Our Welsh Pony program has been expanded, with the addition of Marc Jacobs & Rhiannon. Marc will compete in Dressage and Hunters, while Rhiannon will add a Jumpers component to our Welsh breeding program. We are also thrilled to welcome Chantilly and Theseus, two beautiful Selle Francais mares; we hope to see them both excel in Eventing in the near future. And finally, we have decided to introduce a bit of the Sport of Kings to our repertoire -- we've just brought on an exciting chestnut colt, Stunthesun, by Black Storm Stables' Sundance.

With our herd at a round and healthy 10, we are at full capacity. With the summer competition season upon us, we're going to concentrate on showing our horses and getting Wemsley's name out there. It promises to be an exciting time!
