Ground Types

Ground types aren't lacking in attack and most of them carry the ultra-powerful Earthquake that gains a 1.5x bonus since Earthquake is also a ground type move. Some ground types can also learn rock type moves, which means they can lauch a super effective attack on Flying types, which are Pokemon that Earthquake doesn't affect at all. Some ground types are also Psychic and Water types. Those Water and Ground Types gain a huge bonus from their Ground type abilities; they're not afraid of electric attacks. As a matter of fact, electric attacks are useless against these special water Pokemon.

Barboach is one of those special Water types that also is a ground type. Barboach is really fast and can be found in Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire. Barboach evolves into Whiscash and can learn Surf.

Even with super effective dark moves, Claydol is hard to KO. Claydol is a Psychic and Ground type that evolves from Baltoy. You can find many Claydol in the Sky Pillar to the east of Pacifilog Town. Claydol can learn rock type moves and has levitate so ground types will not work on it.
