Water Types

Water Type moves have only one type that they are uneffective against(Grass Type moves) but most Water Pokemon have Ice Beam so those Grass Types are easily beaten with the super effective Ice Beam. All Water Types can learn Surf, which is a strong move, and some even have 2 benefits from Rain Dance. Water Types can easily KO the strongest Fire and Ground type Pokemon.

Poliwag may seem small but it is very fast. Poliwag evolves two times and can be found in Pokemon FireRed/Leafgreen. Poliwag is a pure Water type but you can choose to evolve it into Poliwrath that will make it into a Water and Fighting type. Or another option would be to evolve it into Politoed, which is a pure Water type.

Golduck can learn many of the HM(Hidden Machine) moves including Strength, Rock Smash, Surf, and Cut. Golduck evolves from Psyduck and can be found on Seafoam Island in Pokemon FireRed or in the Safari Zone in Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald.

Seedra benefits greatly from its ability that poisons its foe when the foe touches it. Seedra evolves from Horsea that can be found in Pokemon FireRed/LeafGreen. Seedra is also very fast and can use Smokescreen. Seedra can also learn Twister, which tells you that it has another evolution, Kingdra. Kingdra is a Dragon and Water Type that has only one weakness, the Dragon type. Seedra evolves into Kingdra by a Dragon Scale that can be found somewhere on your adventures in Pokemon FireRed/LeafGreen. But you first have to trade Seedra having the Dragon Scale to a friend and Seedra will evolve.

Starmie is a Psychic and Water type that can amazingly learn Thunderbolt. Starmie can also learn Recover and the ability to cure itself after it switches out of battle. Starmie evolves from Staryuthat can be found fishing on Cinnabar Island with a Super Rod in Pokemon LeafGreen.

Magikarp may look weak but it evolves into the Water and Flying type, Gyrados. Gyrados can use Dragon Dance and has high Attack. You can find Gyrados in Sootopolis City in Pokemon Ruby/Emerald/Sapphire and somewhere in Pokemon FireRed/LeafGreen(Check your Pokedex). Alternatively, train a Magikarp to level 20 and it will evolve.

Luvdisk is a Pokemon that benefits from Rain Dance a lot. Luvdisk's Speed doubles when Rain Dance is in play and Water Type moves are 2x as powerful. Luvdisk can also learn Surf and Dive. You can find one in Evergrande City in Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald or trade one for a Bellosom on Pacifilog Town.

If you've battled Carvanha before, you know that its Rough skin hurts your Pokemon if your Pokemon touches it. Carvanha is a Dark and Water Pokemon and will evolve into the fast Sharpedo. Carvanha can be found in the waters to the left of Fortree City.

Milotic evolves from the ultra-rare Feebas. You can find Feebas in only 6 spots in the water to the left of Fortree City by fishing. Milotic evolves by maxxing out its Beauty stats and leveling it up one level. Milotic is strong and can learn Surf, Mirror Coat(by breeding Corsola) and Recover. Many people can't find Feebas so don't feel bad if you can't get one. Manjyome has a beautiful Milotic and when Pokemon Diamond/Pearl comes out in the U.S., maybe he will be willing to trade a Feebas(or Milotic) to you for a "not as rare" Pokemon. If you are interested, e-mail Manjyome at manjyome@mysticaldragon.net.tc and he'll think about it.
