About me
About me....what's there to say? My name is Casey, I'm 16, and I'll be 17 next march (2006). I'm a junior in highschool, I'm in band (I play clarinet, but I'm greatly considering learing bass clarinet), NHS, and I'm a big J-rotc groupie. I used to be a part of the teen-chat group at my local library, but I dropped that due to lack of interest, and lack of time. I'm learning how to drive. O.O Its scary, but so much fun and hopefully, if I'm lucky, I'll have my actual license by the end of the school year to tote my friends around my senior year. I can't wait til I graduate. I used to want to go to Loyola University, in New Orleans...well I can't now. So I'm looking, maybe, hopefully, to Wesleyan in Nebraska, the state I reside in. I'm not sure how far from home it is though. I should really check that sometime, huh? But they do have the degree or whatever that I'm looking for. Something in forensics. I'm gonna be a CSI. Its gonna rock.
My family life...I live with my mom and dad, and my younger brother, Blair. He's two years younger than me, a freshmen at my highschool, and a major pain in my butt. I also have a half sister who lives (and teaches) somewhere in Pennsylvania. My only remaning grandparents live in Pennsylvania, too. My mom's parents both died, my grampa before I was born and my gramma before Blair was born. Mom's younger brother also died before I was born. But she's got a ton of other brothers and sisters. I just wish I had met him too. Dad's got two older brothers, one lives in PA and the other lives in Missouri. The uncle in PA (David) had two sons, but one of them died when I was in 7th grade. He was 17. The other one(Adam) is a little older than Blair, and also a pain in my butt, whenever I go to PA. My uncle in Missour (Steven) had a son and a daughter with his first wife, and is now remarried with a few step-kids. YAY Cousins! The only cousin from my dad's side that I really talk to anymore is Elizabeth. She's cool. A little older than both Blair and Adam. Her brother, Jason, is now married and I have yet to meet his wife.
I really hate having family across the US. Idk many of them as well as I would like. And I hate having people married into my family and me not knowing them at all. It really sucks.
My likes, you ask? I love reading. Throw a good book at me and I won't be able to stop reading it until its done. As far as my favorite authors, I'm a big fan of Anne Rice, JK Rowling, Christopher Rice, Langston Hughes, Edgar Allen Poe, Emily Dickenson, and Amelia Atwater-Rhodes, among all others. I also enjoy Stephen King, although his books are a tad harder to jump into than most. I also highly enjoy Tamora Pierce, although its been almost a year since I last read a book by her. Actually Its been about a year since I was last at my local library...oops. But thats ok. I'll go again...sometime...haha. Musically, I enjoy anything from classical to vocal-trance to rock to alternative. About the only type I don't tolerate and never will (again) is rap and r&b and anything like that. I'm actually starting to enjoy country inch by inch again, although I'm not into any of the new songs, nor any of the old hard-core-redneck songs. Martina McBride is a good singer, as is John Michael Montgomery. I adore the 90s boy-band Five (5ive..however you want to spell it), although its the only boyband I'll ever like. I also admit to enjoying Pink, Kelly Clarkson, Limp Bizkit, and some of Avril Lavigne's music. My taste is greatly varied, if you couldn't tell. As I mentioned before, I'm in my highschool's band and I love it. Band is the greatest group of friends you could ever find. Our band isn't exactly the smallest in the district, but we most certainly aren't the largest. And I quite like it like that. This year, our marching them was the Planets, arranged by Doug Bush (UNL's band professor). It was fun, we had planets across the field, spanning from 4ft to 8ft in diameter-they were a pain in the butt to move! I was sectionleader, and what a rush that was. But I'm so glad its over. Over all, we got one Division One and two Division Two's at our competitions, although we were closer than we've ever been to a Div One at OMI(Omaha Marching Invitational) and I'm sure we were just as close at NSBA(Nebraska State Bandmasters Association). I'm very proud of all of us for that, and I'm glad we've finally achieved a One. That just means we've got that much less to work on next year, as far as nit-picking goes, to get more than just one DivOne. Yay us. NHS I'm not too thrilled about. Its not a passion. I was excited when I was first accepted into it...but now its lost its touch and I'm just waiting for my highschool career to get over with. I don't much like many of the seniors in it this year, although there are a few good ones. But mostly they're the "I'm so popular bow to me" type of people. Yeah. What fun, no? No.
Thats about all I can think of to tell you right now. Um. I'll add more later...sometime...when I'm bored...yeah. Bye.

About Average Spork
Once upon a time there was a
in the happy land of Silverwear. One day He was walking along and bumped into
and they fell instantly in love. Awwww. Both families were quite against the relationship, no one thought it would work out. The pairing was like that of an ox and a tiger. But Mr Fork and Ms Spoon were desperately in love and would have none of their families' arguments.
The two of them ran away to the land of Far Far Away (As mentioned in Shrek 2). There they lived happily. And omg guess what! A year later they were married and had a child!! They named him Spork. He was nothing more than an average spork. Look at how cute he was!!!
. . .
And so births the tale of A V E R A G E . S P O R K!!! Yay.
