Blue October isnt the same old alternative rock band in today's generation. Their recent album "Foiled" released in 2006 had a hit single called "Hate Me". "Hate Me" was a public apology to all the people Justin Furstenfeld hurt.
ALBUMS:
The Answers Released in 1998
Consent to Treatment Released in 2000
History for Sale Released in 2003
Foiled Released in 2006
Foiled had the 2 hit singles "Hate me" and "Into the Ocean"
Lead singer and songwriter Justin Furstenfeld started the band with his older brother Jeremy. Then the others got involved such as C.B Hudson, Matt Novesky and then "picked up" Ryan Delahoussaye along the way...
Justin Furstenfeld tells Interviewers that the music is for the fans, music that explains and touches those who can relate.
Songs about addiction, abuse, heartbreak, depression, happiness everything more then just today's punk rock clones.
In my oppinion, Blue October isnt really one genre of music. Thanks to C.B Hudson he has put the electro/techno flavor into it. But also Violinist/multinstrumentalist Rylan Delahoussaye puts the violin light feeling into it. Then with Justin's rock voice, Jeremy's drums and Matt's bass, the true alternative rock music comes through.
