If you had not noticed yet you are losing your freedoms and there is plenty of "taxation without (real) representation". Amazingly the American people believe that their entire duty is discharged at a fraudulent electronic ballot box and their choices limited to a two-party system, equally corrupt. There is no free press in the corporate media, for the owners of those corporations also have a collective interest with "the powers that be". Hollywood, if one analyzes its programming, serves as an agent of indoctrination and propaganda as well through the venue of "entertainment", an ideal form of brainwashing the public mind. Sports is pure distraction from reality, and religion is entirely corrupted and in all ways conforms to modern democratic culture rather than being salt and light. For those who think waving an American flag is sufficient to claim that the federal government is good and just such willful ignorance will not be pandered to. To such who are willing to pledge their allegiance to a mere symbol, irregardless of who brandishes it, or what form of government has hijacked it for its own ambitions, or irregardless of what the original American Constitution plainly states, it can only be said that they follow blindly, and superstitiously, and are mere pawns to be used in the grand scheme as loyalist sycophants to usurpers and tyrants. Those who think that the States are to be administrative outposts for Federal rule have never read the Constitution, neither do they understand American history. This willful ignorance is not bliss, but form the very chains being forged for our slavery. Only the truth will break these chains of the mind, and then actions can spring from right thinking. James Madison warned: "If tyranny and oppression ever come to this land it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy". Those words are now being fulfilled. The "domestic enemies" of the Constitution fly the flag and posture themselves before the military troops to prop-up their deceitful public image, while they trample the very foundation of American liberty, as well as the blood of our forefathers. But the public is slowly awakening from its long slumber. They will reap their reward in due time, and there is an all-seeing God who judges men, from whom they cannot hide. "Judgment will return unto righteousness", the inspired Psalmist writes, as certain as "what goes around, comes around", and when that day comes they will need more than Homeland Security (designed to insulate tyrants) to protect them and their usurped power will be stripped from them.
