Van Halen formed in 1972 and consisted of  Eddie Van Halen, Alex Van Halen, Mark Stone, and David Lee Roth.  In 1974 the band replaced Mark Stone and put in Mark Anthony.  Gene Simmons found the band and helped them make there first albulm Van halen.     Van halen has sold 80 million records. Van halen is #19 for top selling artist. The rest is history.
