WHAT IS REIKI HEALING

What is Reiki?
The word Reiki means 'universal life energy' and this energy is what makes the universe and so heals on all levels - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual - to promote holistic well-being. It energises the body, assisting healing and reducing stress. It also works at the emotional level to balance you and bring harmony and joy, and it produces a new spiritual equilibrium, empowering you to achieve new spiritual depth and strength.

What does the word Reiki mean?
The word 'Reiki' has two syllables - 'rei' describes the universal aspect of this energy, and 'ki' means the life force found in humans, animals and plants - everything - which came to us at birth. This energy is used up in our daily lives and we need to recharge ourselves, or we develop blockages in our energy flow which we need to clear. When we fail to do so we may become ill, either physically or emotionally.

Where does Reiki come from?
Reiki has always been all around us. Dr Mikao Usui, who was Japanese, developed a way of channelling the energy to achieve spiritual growth and healing. He was able to heal others and taught his students a variety of meditation techniques, spiritual practices and methods of healing. Among others, he taught Dr Hayashi who developed the system further. The practice of Usui Reiki has been passed down from Dr Hayashi through Mrs Takata and a line of Reiki masters in western countries since then. There are other lineages of Reiki masters in Japan, and we are continuing to learn some of Usui's original techniques from them. Reiki is now well-known and used worldwide as a form of healing which is easy to learn, by anyone who is open to receiving and learning to use it. Since Reiki was rediscovered, other forms of Reiki practice have developed in the footsteps of the Usui method, which channel the energy of the universe in different ways and which use different or additional symbols. Each form has its place in healing, and many practitioners are trained in and use more than one form of Reiki.
                                                                                                                                               
Is Reiki a kind of medical or alternative medical practice?
Reiki is not a form of medical treatment although it complements other healthcare and medical treatments. It is not a religion, although it is a form of spiritual healing practice. Reiki does not come from the healer - it comes from the universe and the Reiki practitioner channels it to the person who needs it. The practitioner is not using their own energy and in fact by acting as a channel for Reiki they are actually energised and strengthened by it.

How do I get Reiki healing?
You can receive Reiki healing from anyone who has received Reiki attunement or Reiju empowerment from a Reiki master - or, of course, from a Reiki master. You do not need to remove any clothing, or wear anything special, or move around. You can receive Reiki lying down or sitting up, whichever is most comfortable for you. The practitioner will lay their hands on you, or slightly above you, in a series of hand positions, and they may trace healing symbols above or around you. Some practitioners use music, candles and crystals but this is not an essential part of the healing. Reiki practitioners can also heal using their eyes or their breath and can work at a distance from you.

Hi my name as you know is Dennis Binks. I took part in the biggest hunt for Psychic ability when I auditioned for 'Britain's Psychic Challenge' a television program shown for 10 weeks on channel five. When during one of the challenges I had to visit a haunted public house just outside York where over night, I gave evidence of well known Ghosts which dwelled in this haunted establishment. When I returned home after the program I was inundated with telephone calls from people with problems in their homes. Problems such as bumps in the night, and thus the Ghostbuster's was born

We are four Paranormal Investigators who take what we do very seriously, we have had many successes all over the country. We are all Clairvoyant Mediums and Psychics, having Psychics as Paranormal Investigators adds the edge to finding out what the problem is. We do use the state of art equipment. This is, if I was to say I was aware of someone from the Spirit World in a room, we can also show YOU the evidence of this with our equipment.
