My name is Dember, or just De. Calling me something other than the aforementioned name and/or nickname will probably get you corrected, or ignored if you start doing it on purpose. If you mistake my name for 'december' or 'denver', don't worry..you aren't the first, and you won't be the last. xD
If you honestly don't care about reading this page, that's fine. Feel free to skip on ahead to the additional pages, if you'd like. There's not a lot of important stuff on this one, just a quick introduction about myself and my interests..and let's face it, you can find that out when you IM me. I won't mind. ^^'
I'll be honest -- as always. While I can be a perfectly civil and polite person, if you give me a reason to, I can be rather arrogant and rude. I refuse to spare your feelings just to make you feel better about yourself. In addition, I often stick my two-cents in where they're unasked for and I don't really care if people like it or not. As long as I have no reason to behave as such, then I doubt there's any reason we can't get along, as long as you accept me for who I am, as I'm not about to change that.
Personally, I'm rather hard to offend, so I really don't care if you don't like how I act or think I'm rude or something. If you do, there's a very simple solution to your problem: stop talking to me. Also, if I say or do something that offends, you, tell me. Chances are, I'm not even aware of it, and I'll probably do it again unless you let me know -- which, if you do, I will not be offended over it. Seriously.
Now, while I won't intentionally do anything to try to discourage you from having a perfectly civilized conversation or role play with me, if you do something to offend me, and I politely ask you to stop, please don't keep doing it. I really prefer not to have a shouting match over instant messengers, or wind up blocking someone when we can simply agree to disagree and go our separate ways if it's obvious that we won't be able to work anything out.
If you're very easily irritated over something really childish that can be easily worked out, or if you're immature enough to keep doing something I clearly dislike when I've kindly asked to to stop on multiple occasions, then honestly, I'm better off without you, and you're no big loss I'm going to cry over at the end of my day. My apologies if any of this sounds harsh or turns people away, but I've had way too many jerks in the past to not be a little blunt when describing the circumstances here.
Now, anyway. If you'd like to know a bit about me, I'll be eighteen on August 29th, although I usually judge people on maturity, rather than physical age. If you haven't found out already, I'm a girl. In all honestly, I tend to get along better with girls or occasionally guys who aren't all holier-than-thou and act as though they have a bug up their crack the size of an emu. If you know where I got this phrase, then I probably love you already.
I own many animals, some would say too many. I disagree, but you can decide for yourself.
I currently own three dogs, three cats, three rats, a bird and a seventy-five gallon aquarium, my favorite residents of which are my sailfin pleco, my betta and my two hoplo catfish.

If it wasn't clear already, I'm obsessed with animals, mainly canines including domestic dogs (mostly huskies, akitas and other similar breeds), wolves, coyotes, dingoes, foxes and several other species.
I love to draw, write and role play to pass the time as hobbies, which brings me to the reason I made this page to begin with.
Obviously, if I sent you here, it's because I wanted to role play with someone who is, to use labels, 'literate' to 'advanced' -- RP-speech, meaning that you use proper punctuation, correct capitalization, good grammar and overall, decent english. I do not mean 'advanced' to refer to wolfscripting or thesaurus-humping, either. I just ask that you're a decent to above-average role player by the usual standards.
And don't ride me about this "nobody's perfect" bull. I never asked for perfection, and I don't consider being able to use a halfway decent version of the english language instead of typing as though you've got an IQ equal to the same number as your age a perfect quality.
I'm also not asking for "novel sized" posts. As long as you describe everything in your introduction that needs describing -- and therefore by reading it you would be able to get a mental picture of what's going on /without/ looking at an actual picture of it, I'm a happy camper.
If you can give me at least one or two paragraphs a week, I'm good. More than that, and I'll adore you. Less than that, and if I like you and your characters enough, I'll be willing to tolerate it. I understand that schedules can sometimes be a little tight, and not everyone's first priority is role playing. As long as I don't have a 'usual wait' of more than a month or two, that's perfectly fine. ^^
The majority of my characters aren't that simple to describe. Some are, most aren't. I also love to write, so my introductions aren't always that short. While I do not ask that you meet-or-beat me with your responses, please don't be intimidated by my posts or anything. My introductions tend to be about five to fifteen paragraphs long -- depending on how many characters I'm starting with, and how much they interact with one another -- and my follow-up posts are usually between two and five paragraphs, sometimes more, sometimes less.
Again, as long as you give me something to reply to, I'm really not going to complain that much about your post lengths, but if you still don't like this about me, then once again, I apologize for wasting your time, and I advise you to assault the 'back' button on your browser by stabbing it repeatedly with your cursor. Thank you.
