DAY THREE: SUNDAY
Gale got up early Sunday to get into Ino from Naruto for a shoot she had with David Ng that morning. Crazy Flower and I, however, slept in until almost 10. After showering, I packed up and took most of my stuff out to my car, then changed into my Amano Rinoa Heartilly costume for the day. I hadn’t worn Amano Rinoa since Anime Boston 2006, and after fixing her up a bit I was happy to bring it out again. Gale returned and changed into Songstress Yuna from Final Fantasy X-2, while Crazy Flower had decided to wear her penguin costume. Once we were ready, we checked out and spent the morning hanging out in lobby with Linker, Ginger, Michela, OperaPhantom, and Sketch. Around lunchtime, we headed over to the Dating Game to watch LadyRayne and Gale perform. The show was pretty funny, and both ladies did a great job as bachelorettes.
Following the performance, Gale and I took some pictures outside before she had to leave to head home. After saying our goodbyes, the Ginger and Michela left in search of food while Linker and I pulled up a pair of lounge chairs to sunbathe for a bit. Later that afternoon, we went inside to watch PatrickD’s improv game, Anime Unscripted. I felt my costume was too complex to volunteer to participate myself, but I enjoyed watching the other attendees try to bluff their way through the comedy games. My favorite moment was during the Party Quirks game, when PatrickD (playing Old
McDonald), walked up to the imaginary drinks table saying, "I see a drink-drink here, and a drink-drink there. . ." It was hilarious. As the game wound down, I decided it was time for me to put some normal clothes on. I went out to my car to change, then, being hungry, Linker and I decided to check out the gingerbread cookie-making panel. Hooray for free food! We made a cute pair of heavily-frosted characters which were abruptly devoured.
We met back up with Crazy Flower, Ginger, and Michela in one of the viewing rooms were they were reshowing the Masquerade video. We had a blast watching it MST3K-style, plus we got the rare opportunity to actually watch how our own performances went - something I rarely get to do with Masquerade skits. We also enjoyed watching Amira perform again. . . as did pretty much everybody else in the room! Unfortunately, by that point it was past 4pm and I had to think about driving home. I went back out to the lobby to say goodbye to everyone, before heading out to by car and starting my drive home. Thanks to everyone who made this weekend so much fun!
