breaking news!

Stardate: May 2008

Nick is currently busy teaching and of course gigging all over the UK with top function band X-Elle, and is looking forward to a busy schedule over the next few months, including appearances with the One Eyed Cats and Citizen Smith, plus a number of theatre shows working for Steve Hession (Musical Director). He recently appeared with The Foottappers - the UK's youngest Shadows tribute act at Bruce Welch's Shadowmania in Frimley, Surrey, which was a great 3 day event. As well as the above projects, Nick is also working with `Undercover', playing pubs and clubs all over the Eastern region and also various other dep gigs! Some more great news; Nick is now an Elites Strings endorsee - many thanks to Dean `Deano' Mitchell and Barry Moorhouse at the Bass Centre.

Following a very busy Gang Show 2007, Nick supplied bass for The Full Monty, which ran for a very succesful two weeks at The Key Theatre, Peterborough - the production featured a number of West End performers and shows were fully sold out - the reviews were excellent with Steve Hession's music being described as `flawless!'. Nick also supplied bass at the Key  for Mother Goose which ran for five weeks and was a great success! In between those shows, Nick also featured in the new `Greased' tribute show which debuted at a sold out show at the Aston Villa FC Holte Suite and continues to gig with X-Elle. A very busy time...!

Great news for bass players! The E Basses project (check out the site: http://www.freewebs.com/ebasses) was relaunched recently at the Music Live show at the N.E.C. to great public acclaim! Ian Hancock is currently building Nick a brand new E Basses Valiant bass guitar which should be presented to Nick in Summer 2008.

More Great News!!!! Following talks with the owners of The Live Music Shop  Nick has now opened a brand new teaching studio to the rear of the premises which is now up and running! Students can enjoy a great facility close to the City Centre and of course, be able to check out all the latest deals and products available in the store! As well as offering tuition, basic instrument setups and Guitar Valet will also take place in the unit! Call Nick on 01733 311469 or 07961 880770 for more details!

Nick is also now a member at Basschat.co.uk.... come and join in the fun!
