Kingdom of the Golden Dragon is an absolutely beautiful book by the excelent writer Isabel Allende that I have loved since I started reading it, aswell as the other two in the series. You can really travel without leaving your living room! When I noticed there was no fanlisting for the books or the series itself, I just had to build them.




The titles of the fanlisting are all alike - they refer to the place where most of the action takes place. In this case, the Himalayas.




In this sequel to City of the Beasts, Alexander and his friend Nadia travel with Kate to the Himalayas. Kate is sent by International Geographic to find the Golden Dragon, a statue that can foretell the future. Soon the tiny town is in distress when a group of young women, including Nadia, are kidnapped. This event creates the disturbance that the Blue Warriors need to steal the statue. Nadia escapes and is rescued by Alexander, a Buddhist monk and his student. Alexander and Nadia will have to use their totemic animal powers to help save the kidnapped girls and return the Golden Dragon to its rightful place.
