The Five Miles Inn, as it is known for short, is a riverside country pub, restaurant and function venue.
New Owners Dave and Lorraine took over the management of the Five Miles in 2007 and have dedicated themselves to making a success of the business after many years of its decline. Such has been the response of customers that Dave and Lorraine have committed themselves totally, by buying the freehold in early 2008.
Their vision is one of a friendly welcoming atmosphere for all, whether families with children, teenagers, diners, or those wishing to hire the function facilities for business seminars or family celebrations.
WHAT'S BEEN HAPPENING?
Throughout the the first year, work has continued unabated to landscape and improve the beautiful riverside setting. In addition a new outside patio has been laid and children's play area and boat mooring facilities improved to enable everyone to take advantage of the grounds. 
Inside has seen big changes with new games and sports facilities plus large TV projection screen. The 58 seat restaurant has been completely revitalised with exciting new menus and a wide range of foods from bar snacks to full multi course meals.
Upstairs has seen the building of a totally new 60 seat function room with its own kitchen and bar, which is available for business seminars and family events.
The Five Miles is also computer friendly having been recently equipped with WI-FI internet connection which is free to customers.
