Pluto

          Pluto is the smallest planet and also the 9th planet from the Sun. In fact, it takes 248 years to get from Earth to Pluto. It is impossible to live on Pluto because of its temperature. Its temperature is 328 degrees farenheit. Pluto is also 4.28 billion kilometers long.                                                                                                                                         

          Neptune is closest to Pluto. Pluto's air is made of nitrogen and carbon monoxide. Pluto's surface is made of rocks, ice, and nitrogen. Its mass is 12.5x10to the 21st power kg. The 3 moons of Pluto are Charon and the others are unnamed.

          Pluto's rotation period is 6.39 days. Pluto's orbital period is 248.54 years. It is also named after Hades, god of the underworld. Right now the U.S. is doing a mission called the New Horizons. This mission is a flyby type and its arrival date is 2015. Also Pluto's diameter is 2,390 km.
