concert reviews!
this is where i rate concerts i've been to and talk about the bands that played and the highlights of the concert enjoy. the smiles! are like stars the concert is rated out of 5 and the bands out of 10. that's all!
Sept 11 Youth Festival thingy orangeville=Antict
ok this band kicked ass honestly i wouldn't move until their set was done my whiney blonde friends taryn and katie were dying in the heat and even tho they thought the band rocked they wanted to go and find shade but refused to move!MUSICok the band music was wicked! the leadsinger/guitarist honestly sounded almost like Kurt Cobain like in the songs where kurt has the almost growly voice. The drummer fucking tore it up honestly the drummer was amazing!The base player was pretty good and the lead guitarist had talent the music was wicked the best band so far today!
PERFORMANCEok they were pretty good on stage! it was wicked cuz suddenly they had this person in a rabbit costume come up and dance now it was fucking hot outside and this guys in a rabbit suit dancing around it was fucking awesome! so that deserves recognition and well the over all performance was good!
OVER ALL RATINGok even tho i saw it with kt and taryn i never got there rating so i'll have to do this one myself. ok the rating is =)=)=)=)=)=)=)=)1/2! ok this band was awesome ok they didn't look much older than 14 or 15 and they had more talent than alot of bands out there so yeah this band was wicked and they deserve 8 and a half!

ok the concert was pretty good today there will be 4 rating for each band cuz my mom taryn katie and i all went!yeah i tackled taryn before and after the show it was funny she wasn't to impressed though. well yes i shall continue!ok this band had issues i will talk about them in a few seconds!
MUSICok i'm not impressed at all! ok they were very unorganized the singing sounded like it was in a foriegn language honestly and it sounded like they were all playing at there own pace and that some where playing stuff a few seconds to late but yeah i was not impressed!
PERFORMANCEok u couldn't rele see that well from where i was (at the back) so yeah but by the looks of it they all stood in one spot the whole damn time!

it was interesting to find out my mom and i were the only people who'd been at the crowned king concert!yeah they asked alot of questions to the audience!like the q about the crowned king show!then they asked if u lost a family member .then if u like vampires (i put my hand up) and if u liked my chemical romance (taryn and i shot are hands up right away) then there was guys who liked hockey and girls who liked hockey but yeah!the sad thing is that they have the same band name as another band which is kinda pathetic in a way!
MUSICok i still say there better than linkin park! they music was pretty good you could actually understand what they were saying unlike the other band!it was akward because the had no base player so when they did a cover of all the small things it sounded weird because of the fact there's no base player!!but yeah it wasn't that bad even though my mom was like it's probably gonna suck look who's opening for them!
PERFORMANCEok it was good even though i couldn't see very well from where i was sitting it wasn't that bad. cuz they didn't stay in one spot the whole fucking time which i find very annoying when bands do that!!!!!!!!!!yeah but i was sitting in a very bright spot so it was almost in possible to see! because all you could see was pretty much shadow!

silver jets august 28th @ hte coffee house orageville ontario
ok i'm not gonna give much of a description cuz i left halfway through or something like in the paper it was supposed to start at 7:00 and then started at like 83:30 but anyways continuing on with the concert review!
Musicok it was ok like all the members of the band had talent but i'm not sure if they wre all cover s(mainly cuz we sat inside and the drummer was outside infront of the window we sat by)but almost evrybloody song was a cover and i dnno one or two covers is cool but complete cover bands are kinda boring. and like they played obvious kareokee songs like beach boys and stuff. i am not dissing any band they did a cover of but its just the fact there were so many covers was kinda sad.
performanceokee dokee then yeah from what we saw it was pretty good even though the band was infront of us sorta u know what it was good. good thing is they dang to to the dammit crowd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!and yeah they were using the space wisely and the way they performed fit the music but i didn't see the whole thing cuz we ogt bored and left early!
overal rating 4 the band=)=)=)=)=)1/2 ok well we left halfway through adn veen if we'd stayed it still probably would have been the same thing cuz i don't know it wasn't rele the style of music i listen to and to many covers that's all i'm gonna say!
over all concert rating=)=)1/2 ok well yeah i missed half of the whole thing adn um let's see it rele was not my kind of music it was all covers pretty much and it was delayed like an hour and a half which was kinda lame since we showed up half an hour before 7 thinking it would start at seven and then it started at 8:30 so yeah w/e. i don't think it was very good that's all for the silver jets concert august 28th
Rockers 4 Knockers feat Crowned King. August 21 2004 caledon east!
Ok this concert was amazing my mom and I went. It was sooooo much fun! All the bands were amazing even tho some of the performances weren't that great! Like some of them didn't show full performance potential and some of them were a little weird!
Well my mom and I are pretty sure it's this was the first band we saw at the concert because we were doing research after the show and this was the only band we found with 3 guys so if this is the wrong band I'm sorry the e-mail is above in the intro to the reviews. but from what we did hear the lead singer who is older than me but afew inches shorter than me is very talented. when we standing out side the doors debating on whether to go in we could hear this band and when we went in we were very disapointed that it was the end of the set!
Music from what we heard it was rele good. at first we weren't sure if there had been a band before them but after doing reasearch on the concert we found out that it was them. and i have to say they're ALOT better than mega popular bands like good charlotte, and linkin park. alot better!

over- all rating =)=)=)=) I can only give them a 4 bacause of the fact i didn't see all of the performance but I had to give more than a 1 or a 2 because we heard part of it from out side and it was good!
Ok they were pretty good kind of a punky sound kinda a ska feel but you can't really call them ska cuz of the fact they didn't have any one on trumpet, or trombone or those kinds of instruments so they don't rele fit the requirements.
Musicthey were a pretty good band! to tell the truth. the only problem i had was i don't mind mind bands with screamers but the guy wasn't screaming it was more like yelling and u couldn't understand a word he said. i don't mind not being able to understand when it's a screamer but when it's a yeller it bugs me when i can't undertstand. the music was great tho!
Preformanceit was good the singer sang to the crowd (although it wasn't the big a crowd yet everyone was outside smoking)the band played there best (sorta). and they brought up the cause for the concert which not everyband did. even tho the fact the singer referd to it as b-cancer cuz he didn't wanna say breast! well the performance was good. they weren't as livley as some of the bands tho!
over all rating=)=)=)=)=)and a half!I'm not being harsh with this I expected a livley performance i wouldn't expect one from everyband like if it were a dashboard confessional i wouldn't expect alot of energy 9cuz they're a whiney emo band). but these guys the music was more lively so i'd expect more. but they weren't that lively which took away from the whole performance!
well my mom rele liked the one guys hair cuz it was like miny liberty spikes and she thought it was awesome!personally i liked the energy in the music!
Musicone word AWESOME! now with this band when i couldn't understand them it was because of the fact the one guy was actually screaming. the other times was cuz i was too far from the speakers.well the music was a mix of punk, and metal sorta. like very punk but had a metal feel as well! i liked the music I thought it was good. they did very well!
performanceok they did very well the one guy i think he was playing guitar well anyways he had most of the vocals he was the most energetic of all of them! he was jumping with the guitar at the begin of songs spining around with the guitar. the performance was simply awesome. this is one of the first bands people started comming inside to watch! so i couldn't see the performance in perfect view but i could see it well enough to know it was stunning!

ok this band was amazing i was right upfront by the left speaker for this one! They were a rele good band. they were ska and they kicked ass! they one guitarist was a tom delonge kinda guy. not looks wise but humor wise and performance wise.and the lead singer who was a girl tore it up she was amazing proving girls rele can rock!she has now become one of my music influences cuz not many girls can rele pull off the lead singer ska rocker thing!(examples of girls who can;t pull off the rocker chick Avril, FeFe, Skye Sweetnam,ect)
Musicholy shit this was one of the first bands that rele caught my attention. like from the moment they started till the moment they finished they kicked ass! i decided I would not move until it was over. this is the only band that i bought their cd. go check them out thepylons.com their video premieres on much sept 1st! now they were my second fave band there but they're sharing the second fave spot with another band that I'll talk about later. anyways it was a good performance the whole circle of bad dancing started at the back for the first time. this band was amazing! the music was good. well i'm gonna stop repeating myself!
performanceamazing the energy was stupendous! the singer was jumping and dancing and in the middle of one of the songs they all did this co-ordinated dance and then said beat that and it was amuzing to watch!

ok this guys were purty good but no excelent. u'll read about my beefs with these guys after. but they still put on a good punky performance
Musicgood very loud very punky. it was one of those bands u just stand and bob ur head when listening to. or tap ur toe or jump up and down. but they were still wicked awesome!
Performanceok well it was good they got the crowd going. but it was odd that the singer sang to the stage. no rele the singer was serenading the drummer. rarely did he sing to the god damn crowd. so i find that fucking pathetic the drummer didn't come to see the show he came to play the crowd came ot see the show.

these guys share my second fave with the pylons. like my mom and i who were in front row sat watching them set up. well the guitarist is setting up and then he just looks up and says hello to my mom and i introduces himself as adam and shakes our hands. then my mom and I watched a wicked awesome performance. then after he comes back over and says thank for watching the performances then shakes our hands agian. so he was rele nice!
Musicamazing they were a ska band and they tore it up. with loud powerfull ska music. filled with funny lyrics and good beats!the vocals were amazing and the guitar was just awesome. like the guy had enought foot pedals he could dpo anything with the damn guitar. so that was cool!
preformanceok theyb were awesome. watching adam and his facial expressions was damn funny. u had to laugh. then he'd be running out then jumping on stage and running off. it was great. it was one where u couldn;'t help but laugh. then at the end he tackled the singer and they were rolling around fighting it was so funny.
overall performance=)=)=)=)=)=)=)=)=) yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! a bunch of ncie funny guys that can rock!!!!!!!!!!
the band u've all been waiting for the band that was the loudest! my mom and i were front row and remember only the drummer had a stage so the rest of the band was on the same floor as the crowd. and only a wire seperating. one that shaun ignored. at one point he came into the crowd and he was 2 people away! i was so fucking close tho i could have poked the guitarist! and at one point when shaun went after the guitarist i could have poked shaun's head he was so close!
MUSIC!ok it was awesome. the were the best i swear. the music was loud and awesome!even if u didn't know the words u were rocking out. hearing them play don't wanna go and impatience was so friken awesome. it was like puting head phones on just better. you have not experienced the full potential until u've seen them live!
PERFORMANCE!ok this was amazing. the energy they had. shaun was like a mixture of the lead singer of the hives and the lead singer of billy talent. that's how much energy he had. swinging the mic stand harrassing the guitarist. jumping on the amp. spitting water. jumping on the amp by the drummer and getting everyone to clap.it was the best performance of the night!
over all rating=)=)=)=)=)=)=)=)=)=) 10 come one they desrve it tearing the place up getting everyone to co-operate and just being a fun band to watch perform!
the last abdn to play my third fave. the music very ska punk-ish! it was good. and they were fairly funny. like when talking about the trombone player saying he watched their shirts then hearing the bass player go hey i just noticed that are shirts smell like his underwear when they come out of the wash! or the bass player talking about how he had a blister on his middle finger and how it hurt. the most funny was the lead singet talked about how at the last show he's tried to sound all smart when trying to explain what breast cancer was and ended up telling the crowd that one in 3 males get breast cancer.
Musicit was good i couldn't pay a crap load of attention cuz iw as so tired from rocking out to ck! but it was damn good. the drummer was amazing. and the lyrics were good! the music was good. the explanations will be kinda bad cuz i was tired and my feet hurt when we watched these guys!
performanceit was good. the band was very active not as much as the pylons grand skam or crowned king. but they were good. i felt bad for spending all the money my mom bought before they played cuz i should have got a green divison button instead of a see's the day button :'(! srry. but yeah tehy rocked.

higlights- ok shaking hands with adam of grand skam!-being in front row for crowned king!-my mom getting hit in the boob by a hacky sack that the lead singer of see's the day was playing with(by accident, the girl who was playing hacky sack with him apologized)!-when the guitarist of crowned king went into the crowd when he ws comming back the guitar hit my arm!-and finnaly getting my ck sticker autographed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OVERALL RATING!=)=)=)=)=) the concert deserves a full rating. a full five smiles cuz it was for a good cause the bands were amazing the gear was dirt cheap and yeah it was the best night of my life so far!!!!!! so yeah remember bands are rated on a scale of 1-10 and the whole thing on a scale of 1-5!so yeah!if anyone was at the concert i was the dweep wit purple hair who went with her mom.(fuck no one visits the site anyways why would any one have also been ther if no one fucking visits the sight!)
