OWLs (Ordinary Wizarding Levels)

The OWLs section will take place in the fifth year of your stay at Hogwarts. They are the equivalent to the ACTs in the Muggle world. Three tips are given to those who will be taking them.
A) Study hard
B) Stay calm
C) There's always next year

GRADE      MEANING
O          Outstanding
E          Exceeds Expectations
A          Acceptable
P          Poor
D          Dreadful
T          Troll

Passing grades include O, E, and A. Failing grades include P, D, and T.

Take the Tests

Ready to take your OWLs? Well, of course you are. Your answers can be as short or as long as you wish them to be. They will be checked and evaluated so do your best. We will post the grades on the bottom of the page. Break a leg--and not in the literal sense!

Today's password is Snuffles. Don't forget it! If you do, I won't even evaluate your test. Use your Hogwart's name and a valid e-mail. If you haven't been sorted, you need to get sorted before you take your OWLs!

NEWTs (Nastily Exhausting Wizarding Tests)

You will take your N.E.W.T.s in June of your seventh and last year at Hogwarts. The NEWT classes that you take are dependent upon your OWL scores. Some teachers will only take a student into their NEWT class if they have above an 'E', Excellent. They are extremely difficult exams and test you on all the spells and information you learned from your seven years at Hogwarts (hence the name). If you having any trouble in your NEWT class, you must promptly speak to a professor for afterhours tutoring. You can't be behind in year seven or you'll get trampled all over. Good luck!
