The Castle of the Hybrid Goomba2.0

Site Graphics

If you were wondering (or not wondering) about what program I use to make the images for my site, you've come to the right page. Perhaps you're wondering how you can make cool images like the ones in the Art section, or like the images in the menu, or even like the banner. But first you need to know what program to use. I use The GIMP. It's a great program that when you master it, you can make really cool things. I advise you to explore gimp.org for information now, yes now.

Now that you're back, you're wondering what you can do with the program. Look at my Art Section for an example. Everything on that page was made with The GIMP. So why should you use The GIMP? Well, for the most part that's up to you, but I have a pretty good reason anyway. The GIMP is very much like Adobe Photoshop (more later versions). So why shouldn't you just get Adobe Photoshop instead? Because the GIMP is free! Now I'm trying not to promote it or anything, but it's a great program that you should at least try. Sure it takes up a decent portion of disk space, but it's not too much to scream about. For the last sentence of this paragraph, I'll close with a quote: "The best things in life are free".

So who else uses it? Is this some looneybin trying to trick me into downloading some virus? I know plenty of people who use the GIMP. For one, I know that The Pokelives Network (google it, I forgot the URL) uses the GIMP. And if you want a large sum of people that uses the GIMP, look at the Nintendo NSider Forums. If I might be so bold, I'm quite sure that all of the people there have at least heard of it.
