"I tell the story; I'm not part of it."

Where would we be without the narrator. There is just so much going on that we need somebody to tell us some things. We just don't have time to see it all for ourselves. The narrator is (usually) an aging man who doesn't mind editorializing just a little.

As the story progresses, the narrator is destined to become more a part of it than he would like.

Musically:

As important as he is the narrator only sings once, in Ever After.

Playing the Narrator:

The Narrator is traditionally played by the same actor who plays the Mysterious Man.
