"I am no longer a child. I wish to see the world."

Rapunzel is the Baker's sister. The Witch kidnapped her as a baby in return for some food. Her only home was a tower in the woods, where her only company was the Witch, until a Prince stumbled across her.

Having been kept from the world all of her life, Rapunzel has all of the childishness of Little Red Ridinghood, but lacking the life experience, her difficulties are bound to have an impact.

Musically:

In the original production, Rapunzel's only musical contribution was in chorus and the occasional wordless singing from offstage. In later productions she has recieved a duet with the witch entitled Our Little World.
