Unique Sussex sauropod dinosaur hollow vertebra, EUCAMEROTUS sp.

This is an identified partial sauropod vertebra that was found at our site. Unfortunately, the vertebra was found sliced in half, and the rest of the vertebra was missing. However, this specimen is very interesting indeed since it clearly shows the hollow bone and the thin median septum. This example is strikingly similar, almost identical to the sauropod bone shown in plate 32 in the book 'Dinosaurs of the Isle Of Wight'. Vertebra measures approx. 4" tall.
