JARDIN ANDERSON

Hi! My name's Jardie and I am 16 years old. I come from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
I have been surfing for around eight years now (half my life!). I have been shortboarding for most of these years and recently started longboarding in 2006. I first started competiting in 2005 and have competed in regional, state and national level shortboarding competitions. In 2006, after a successful season, i was sponsored by Primitive Surfboards. This year, I have decided to focus more on introducing myself to the longboarding circut. I will compete in regional events on the Sunshine and Gold Coasts as well as the Queensland State Titles in June. Next year I hope to enter major ALC competitions such as the Noosa Festival of Surfing, the Malfunction and perhaps the Roxy Women's Surf Festival in Victoria. One day I would love to go to the Roxy Women's Surf Jam (the world titles) in France. I love freesurfing and you'll rarely see me riding a wave without a smile on my face! My favourite places to surf are Tea-Tree Bay at Noosa Heads and Angourie in New South Wales. Apart from surfing, I enjoy art, music and skateboarding. I am currently in grade twelve and hope to study either architecture or graphic design at university. Basically I am a typical Aussie beach girl who loves life! You can contact me here . I'd love to hear from you! Happy surfing :)

Roxy team on loopd
"Sixteen year old Australian teen Jardin Anderson is a regular face in the lineup of the famed pointbreak Noosa. Learning to surf at eight and shortboarding for seven years, Jardin competed at state level for the last three years and was a consistant competitor in the junior ranks. After winning the South Coast Junior Surf Slam in 2006 Surfing Australia's Terry Teece described her as a "rare thing in Queensland surfing". Within the last two years she has discovered her love of longboarding. Riding a 9'1 mal Jardin has progressed quickly, showing natural talent and grace in her smooth style. A stylish noserider, the goofyfoot has a powerful backhand cutback and cross-steps with agility. Looking up to Californian noseriding queen Kassia Meador, Jardin is aiming for a successful year in 2008. A fresh-face on the longboarding scene; she has been touted as one to watch for in the future."
