Alfie arrived in Albert Square by mistake. He was jumping the trains but was caught and thrown off a Walford. He blagged his way through the square by claiming Winston had sold him a faulty CD and got the money back (he hadn't Alfie swiped it when Winston wasn't looking), he then got a free brekkie out of Ricky by claiming he would bring his car in for a service (Alfie doesn't have a car it seems, another blag) then onto his dessert he conned Martin into some free fruit and just to stop Martin saying anything he promised he'd by a case of fruit later that day.
Soon afterwards Alfie stumbled apon the Queen Vic seeing it was open and empty Alfie walked in planning on robbing the takings. Peggy however walked in on him and mistook him for the new manager expected that day, Chris Wright.
It then seemed Alfie had landed on his feet he then put off the real Chris Wright from claiming his job and soon his Nana and little brother Spencer moved into the Vic to join Alfie.
