We FINALLY have it!!!!!
After hours and hours spent searching for the right numbers, we were actually able to find the Maximum Take Off Weight of the skyrunner by calculating the lift on the wings with the equation for lift. here are the numbers.
based on 120 ft length, 70 ft wingspan: Max Take-Off Weight: 134,000 pounds, Max Ceiling: 64225 ft.
based on 240 ft length, 140 ft wingspan(About The Size of a Boeing 747): Max Take-Off Weight: 164,000 pounds, Max Ceiling: 80443 ft.
all of this coming from the very lovely lift equation :
L=½(p*(V²)*Sref*CL)
and some other equations I'm not even going to attempt to post

Welcome to the Skyrunner's new Home Page. We went through 3 different styles to find the perfect layout. We are most likely going to keep this one. Also, Im sure that the original image we had on the old flash layout was the one we were going to build. Most engineers have actually told us that it wouldn't fly past mach(we already knew that though). well, we have here the "real" plans. I think most will be suprised on how different the plane looks from the old layout's photo. more details in the "About Us" section.
On a different note, we have an Aim account for those who are more comfortable using it to contact us. Details are on the contact page. One more thing, we are thinking of adding a forum to this site, so give us your opinion. And please be patient, We are all in school now so it may take a while to get back to you if you do contact us.
