Have you ever wanted to talk on boards but people always ended up yelling at you or trying to fight with you at one thing you did? I will help you right that wrong now.

• The most important rule, read and pay attention closely to the NeoBoards Chat Rules. If you don't follow every single one of those, some people will go crazy and report you for a MISTAKE. Yes, people are like that.
• DO NOT OVERUSE INDECIPHERABLE CHATSPEAK. Chatspeak is the language that that is like: i lyk love +hat!!!111!! But sometimes not that bad. Abbreviations like omg and lol are OK but some that are far like tisnf (that/this is so not fair)
  are annoying. And also trying to make words shorter is chatspeak and annoys people so try to make every word whole.
• Do your best to use grammar and puncuation and capitalization because that makes you sound more "mature" or "original" or anything like that. It doesn't need to be perfect.
• Don't butt into people's conversations. Some boards say "so-and-so come here!!" and they say they want you to leave. Yes, the boards are public and they shouldn't make you leave but what is the point? All that is going to happen to you is getting yelled at and them talking would bore you because you're not in it. Just leave that board and talk to somebody that would actually respond to you without yelling.
• Be nice to people. If they try to fight with you just ignore them and if they get get really nasty and maybe say some bad content or are really rude and bad then you can report them then just continue chatting with other people. Use manners and keep yourself to a calm temper.
• Don't spend all your time on the boards taking forever trying to use grammar and everything like that. Have fun. The grammar and punctuation and everything doesn't need to be so perfect. You can make some spelling mistakes. Everybody does it.
