Karnak’s Eshe is a naturally curious mare—she likes poking her nose into everybody’s business, like an overwrought little kid, racing around and asking probing questions to everyone around her. Her name comes from whimsical, romantic origins, as it means “life” in Ancient Egyptian (fitting for a mare with predominant Egyptian Arabian bloodlines). Her name, Eshe, is so appropriate because this mare is full of life, and she always maintains a certain zest and vivacity that she brings to every occasion, whether it’s training, showing or just loitering around the farm, idyllic and relaxed.
While Eshe always looks sweet and dainty, like the perfect little lady, often times her curious, headstrong side emerges, and, if she can, she’ll investigate everything around her to the fullest possible extent. This natural inquisitiveness is usually not a hindrance, and especially adds in her friendly nature and overall sweet disposition, also making her an attentive, perky spectacle in the show ring. Her inquisitiveness ennobles Eshe with a great sense of wonder and fun, and thus she is always ready for new adventures and challenges in the ring, approaching them with her signature exuberance that makes her such a fantastic, lovely mare to be around.
Eshe is blessed with gorgeous palomino coloring, thanks to her quarter of Quarter Horse breeding in her bloodlines. She’s a vibrant gold-hue in the sun, and when it’s summer at the farm, people can’t help but to stop and gawk at this beautiful, delicate mare when she is turned out in the pasture, loose and free. Her palomino vibrancy is a perfect match for her natural radiance, which shines like a beacon. Eshe has extremely humanistic qualities, much of which comes from her curiosity and liveliness, and to be with this mare, even in the simplest of actions like grooming or petting, is always an energizing, pleasant experience. She is truly a creature that shines beautifully from the inside out.
Eshe is such a well-rounded package—her curiosity gives her a sense of fun and spontaneity that some horses lack, her vibrancy and radiance give her an ethereal, unparalleled beauty, reflected in her gorgeous golden coat, and her verve and liveliness make her a true joy to be around, a mare always willing to learn and approach life from a positive angle.
