The Kiwanis Club of Pasadena is part of the Cal-Nev-Ha
District, Division 10, and was formed in 1920. It is the oldest Kiwanis Club in the city and among the 100 oldest Kiwanis Clubs in the world. Today, the
club has around 60 members and the average yearly project expenditures
total $28,000.00. Major service projects and organizations supported
include:
Elizabeth House for young, unwed, new and expectant mothers
Boy Scouts
Pasadena Boys and Girls Club Campership program
Youth team sponsorships
Kiwanis International Foundation
Student Awards (Scholarships)
Support of our Key Club sponsored youth activities, i.e.,
"Career Day"
Day, club luncheons, officer training and assistance with convention
costs
Rebuilding Together (formerly, Christmas in April)
Salvation Army
Union Station
Villa Esperanza Services
Police Activities League (PAL) Program (with the Salvation Army)
Special Olympics
Rosemary Children's Services
Farm/City Program, an exchange for high school students for our sponsored
youths:
visits to Division 18 farm areas of Tulare and Visalia in the
fall
visits to Division 10 for city tours for their students in the
spring
The Kiwanians of Pasadena work
together to achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone. Our
focus is to make Pasadena a better place to live.
