Autism Pecs (Picture Exchange Communication System)
Pecs are used to exchange non-verbal communication. This is what we
used to when Jacob could not express to us what he needed. We still use pecs
and schedules to assist if Jacob has a melt down because he can not communicate or
find the appropriate words. We use a pecs book and a board to assist him.
Mom made a cheap pecs book by buying a $1.00 binder, File Folders, White card
stock, a hole punch and a cheap $20.00 Laminator bought at Walmart, and velcro.
Mom found some free Pecs websites, and I was amazed at all the websites I found.

Do To Learn Website
This is site where my mom first made a pecs book for my little brother Jacob.
The website is very informable. The black and white pecs are free, and you can
do 1 inch, or 2 inch pecs or coloring pages.
