After one year and seven months of rest from the Korean music industry, Asian top
group Dong Bang Shin Ki | 동방신기 finally comes back with their most awaited fourth
album which they released last September 26, 2008.
Entitled "Mirotic", it is a word coined by one of the members, Kim Jaejoong, himself. The
word comes from the Korean word 미로/ 迷路 (miro) which means maze and the English
suffix, -tic which means together. Jaejoong meant for this word to give people a feeling
of being warped into the depths of a labyrinth.
Particular in this album is their masculine appeal which they show in their powerful beats
and dance moves. Their title track, "Spell" is a reverse-beat dance number and is the
result of their collaboration with renowned Scandinavian songwriters Remee and Thomas
Troelsen. The sleek choreogrpahy is courtesy of the famous Kenny Wormald who
previously worked with Justine Timberlake, Chris Brown and Christina Aguilera in their
music videos and concerts.
