The Matanuska-Susitna (Mat-Su) Valley

Being in Eagle River gave us easy access to the Mat Su Valley that was about a half hour's drive away.  The valley has much to offer from the Russian village of Eklutna, the wildflowers in the Eklutna Flats, the Musk Ox Farm in Palmer, the Matanuska and Little Susitna Rivers, Hatcher's Pass, the Independennce Mine State Historic Park, and Wasilla (the official headquarters and starting pont of the annual Iditarod Sled Dog Race).  We made several trips to the Mat-Su Valley and the pictures included here are a composite of those visits.  We still have at least one more visit planned to Mat-Su valley to go to Alaska State Fair in Palmer during the last week of August.

Het verhaal en ondertitels in het nederlands zullen later toegevoegd worden.
