Introduction]
Why have you come here?

It's almost pitch black outside. You're walking through the dark, barely able to see the thick body of trees that surrounds you. Running your hand along the bark to guide yourself, you strain your eyes to see, but you can barely even see what's in front of your face. But for some reason, you feel oddly calm, even though surrounded by almost pitch darkness, though every now and then, a sound from somewhere nearby makes you twinge nervously. It's only when you smell something odd that you stop, sniffing. At first, you can't quite make out what the strong smell is. But after a moment, it becomes clear -- blood. But a strange curiosity makes you press foward, pressing tree branches a way to clear a path and feeling their prickly pine needles touch your skin as you pass.
As you go, the scent suddenly becomes stronger, and soon, so intoxicating that you have to resist the urge to cover your mouth. It's so strange, you can almost taste it in the air. Stepping out into a small clearing, you hesitate, lingering by the trees and peering into the dark. There's something there. Shivering inwardly, you stare at it, trying to make it out. It's a large, well-muscled and powerfully built canine, the smell of blood hanging heavily in the air around it. The first thing you notice about it is it's eyes, a deep, pungent red. Most of it's face is shadowed, and almost every part of it's body is as well, but you can see a mixture of maroon, brown, white, gray and black that twined together to make a rather interesting pattern.
"What are you doing here?"
It growls in a low voice, on the verge of a snarl. Even in the dark, you can see the fur along it's neck rise, and the stain of blood on it's lips. Mustering courage enough to answer, you reply blankly, "I don't know." He seems amused by this, but makes no comment. Lifting his head, his lips raised slightly so you can see the gleam of his ivory teeth, he continues, "Is this what you always do? Walk around in the dark like a blind rat?" You bristle at this, biting your tongue -- you instinctively know that it wouldn't be wise to anger him. Surprisingly, a low chuckle rumbles in his throat, but you can tell that it isn't really a friendly one. His red eyes flick up to study your face, seeming to read every twinge of fear that pulses through your body. Suddenly, in his left eye, another iris with a dark pupil rolls out from nowhere, joining the other in searching your face.
Smiling secretively, he growls, "Well, I'm not sure how you'll find your way back to... wherever you come from, but I'm sure you'll manage somehow."
Pulling his gaze away, he turns slowly, and you can't help but wonder if he is watching you out of the corner of his eye. It isn't long before he is enveloped in the dark, dissapearing all together. Hesitating and wondering if you were out of your mind, you give in to curiosity, and slowly follow.

Love]
A strange feeling

Love? Nothing of the sort exists; why should one need love to survive?
It's a pity that some are foolish enough to get close enough to it's grasp, end
up losing it, and wander around wailing about how they weren't meant for love.
Love isn't necessary to survive, so why waste your time over something you
can't have? I don't need love to live; neither do you.

The place where I dwell

-growls- Even I once thought I had a home. When you wander,
there is no such thing as home. Something you can call home isn't
needed, anyway. Everywhere is my home, or nowhere.

Eyes]
They're always watching you..

Oh, those? They may be unnatural, but what isn't in this world.
My left eye has always had a second pupil.. it tends to roll out of my head
and join the other one on occasions. It's an advantage, though, to have three
eyes. The better to see you with, my dear. (sep here)

Farewell]
...You've stayed long enough

You stop, watching your breath rise into the air like a column of smoke, pondering over everything you just learned.. things you almost wished you hadn't. Unsure of what to say, if you should say anything at all, you lapse into an uncomfortable silence. The wolf is standing with his back to you, his thick tail resting between his hocks and twitching every now and then. But you can almost feel his eyes boring into you, and you wonder if he can see you through the back of his head - after all, he does have two eyes in one.
"Why are you still here?" He growls, making you jump. You can sense the bitterness and the irritation in his voice, even without seeing his expression. He suddenly swings his head around to look at you, and once more, in his left eye, a second pupil with a blood-red iris rolls out, and the two eyes both search your face hungrily, while his right eye remains fixed on your face. Fumbling with your fingers a bit nervously, you pull your sleeves over your hand for lack of something to do, finding it difficult to hold his intense, almost accusing, gaze.
"I... I don't know," you finally manage, watching him closely.
He laughs, making you feel even more uncomfortable, and more ready to leave. It's not exactly a very kind laugh. Curi slowly cocks his head, his laugh slowly dying in his throat, watching you with an odd expression that sends a slow tingle down your spine. "I believe you have been here far too long, child." Even in the dark, you can see his lips twitch in agitation. Afraid to turn your back on him, you take a few steps back, still facing him. "Well... I'd best be going, then."
But he doesn't move towards you, simply standing there, his second pupil roving around. Turning, you stumble over a tree branch, your shoes crunching as you trod on the pine needles and sticks underfoot. Glancing over your shoulder, you see a faint glimpse of him turning, without a glance back at you, and disappearing into the dark trees, obscuring him from view completely. Even so, you still remember the image of his second pupil, rolling around, and watching you out of the back of his head.
