Rules
1) No category with less than 3 nominees will be judged. The nominees will be held over to the next round, where hopefully there will be enough nominees for judging.
2) If a category has only 3 nominees, there will be no runner up.
3) Runner ups will be given if the judges feel it’s well-deserved.
4) If you win, you can't be nominated for that category for 1 round. You cannot nominate the story for 3 rounds.
5) Pay attention to category descriptions, otherwise I will delete the nomination.
6) Pay attention to the rules, otherwise I will delete the nomination.
7) There are categories that will allow more than one nomination for an author/artist/site owner [In the Shadows, Teamwork, Unbelievably Not Real, Greatness, all site categories]. They are the only categories in which it's allowed.
8) Slash is accepted, of the non-explicit sex kind. NC_17 slash fics are not accepted unless in it's specific category, or in the Extremity and Lie to Me: Best of the Best categories. If you can't get that, say goodbye to your nomination.
9)Incest is a big no-no. It gets you banned. (Buffy/Dawn/Joyce, Buffy/Dawn, Dawn/Joyce, Buffy/Joyce, Connor/Angel, Connor/Darla, Jasmine/Darla, Jasmine/Angel, Cordelia/Jasmine, Connor/Jasmine, etc.)
10) You can nominate your fic 6 times, including the first nomination in any category that allows more than one nomination per author. No more than that. If a fic is nominated more than six times, I take the first six and exclude the others.
11)If you nominate your site, a button has to be up by judging. NO BUTTON, NO JUDGING.
12) I'm pretty sure every award site with categories for sites say this, but just to make sure you know. Best layout/graphics means made by the site owner. If Ricki owns My Life, the layout should be by Ricki, not Sam who nominated Ricki's site.
13) There's this thing where I need you to make sure the URL and the author's email works. I refuse to chase down nomination information any more. If the URL doesn't work, I delete the nomination. If the URL/email address doesn’t even exist in the form, I delete the nomination. If you somehow forget to check off categories, I delete the nomination. If you decide to resend the nomination, do not send with a note that you just nominated a fic, with only the missing part in the form, because, guess what? I deleted the previous nomination, and I will delete the second one, too. If the email address bounces back, I – you get the idea.
14) The awards are only up for the duration of the current round. It is YOUR responsibility to pick it up in that span of time. When the awards are no longer up for that round, assume that they have been deleted. Because they have. You will have the chance at the end of a cycle [a cycle includes six rounds and the BotB voting round] to request a new award. After that, it’s over.
15) If a story wins Best of the Best, or runner ups, it will not be eligible ever again. The author, however, will have to wait a period of 2 rounds before they can be nominated again.
16) Best of the Best rounds have no nominations accepted. These are rounds for the past winners and runner ups of a specific cycle to face off, and only that. All nominations that I receive are deleted.
17) If you read the rules, you should know that Xander is "not the zeppo."
