The Dioni clan is the last surviving vampire after the great war with the werewolves. Nikolas Dioni, the leader pack organized a once every turn of the season meeting at Mojave Desert to meet his people and rebuilding his race. And the 300 years later, on the night of the meeting, Mikhail’s story began.

Mikhail was chosen to hunt for a mate. As a proven warrior, he was trained in the art of pleasuring and seduction to help him in his quest. To have a mate is an honor in the clan where only the strongest warriors were chosen. But finding the person where he can spend eternity with is not easy. The first time he saw her, he was captivated by her beauty, sensuality and grace. Christina wants Mikhail. But she fights him and the sparks between them fly. She refuses to be enthralled just by good looks and empty promises. To have her, an ordinary man has to work really hard and Mikhail is no ordinary man.

I just love the way Mikhail seduced Christina. He charmed his way into her heart and wanted her to come to him willingly and not by force. Mikhail is what every woman wants in a man and I would love to have him all to myself. This is a recommended read, Mikhail’s Hunt has all that I want in a book. Ms. Littlejohn charmed her way into my heart with Mikhail’s story and I can’t wait to read her next story.

The Sun Rose Over Cairo

Cairo Ivory is a beautiful woman with a flair for dating the wrong men. The last mishap was two years ago, and large enough to sink the Titanic. Cairo changes her focus to only encompass her career as an attorney. And while that redirected energy has helped her gain a spectacular record of wins it didn’t warm Cairo’s bed. After years of working divorce cases, Cairo has decided that a relationship really isn’t worth the trouble until she meets Jose. Sex, lies, and crazy ex-wives seem to be lurking around every corner.

Will Jose be able to vanquish Cairo’s attitude in regards to marriage? With the rising of the sun comes the possibility for a new beginning.

Dana Littlejohn is fast becoming one of my favorite authors. The Sun Rose Over Cairo is a story about love and healing. Jose was in an abusive marriage with a wigged-out wife. He had to learn the hard way that “I do” can just be the means to an end for some people. Jose is handsome and shy with a body to make you weep for joy. Top that off with brains and no woman stands a chance of escaping his natural allure and charms. Cairo is blessed to have a friend who recognizes her needs and won’t let her caution distract her from getting to know Jose. I believe in her heart she really wanted someone she could love and feel safe with, but the characters from her past dampened her resolve to fight for the “happily ever after”. This book has more twists than a rollercoaster ride. You don’t just get sex that can pop your toenails off. You gain a bit of suspense, humor, and the opportunity to watch karma in action. I’m only hoping that Ms. Littlejohn will bring back some of the other characters for their own novels. If you like romance with a twist you won’t be disappointed with The Sun Rose Over Cairo.

Sebastian’s Surrender

The Dioni Vampire Clan is still attempting to rebuild their numbers. The gifted ones of the clan are among the first to be allowed to find wives.

Sebastian Santos is not a social vampire, and would prefer his solitude over human company any day. The only time he has made it a point to interact with humans is when it is time for his meals. So being granted the right to a human wife is more of a burden than a blessing in Sebastian’s eyes.

Amber has never known what it’s like to have a real family. When Sebastian approaches Amber in hopes of finding a mate, she realizes that her deeply rooted dream could become her reality. Will Amber be able to overcome her fears and become the mate Sebastian wants and needs?

Sebastian’s Surrender is book three in the Dioni Chronicles series.

Sebastian’s Surrender was a delightful book about dreams coming true and discovering your true desires. The characters read like the people next door. While Amber was raised in love, she never knew what it was like to have blood of her blood. Sebastian has been a recluse most of his life but when he touches Amber he knows he never wants to be alone again. Readers of the genre as well as those who love this series will find Sebastian’s Surrender an enjoyable read. Dana Littlejohn has given us yet another wonderful addition to the Dioni Chronicles series.

The time has come for Jonathan Destori to help rebuild his vampire clan by finding a mate. The worried warrior thinks he might fall short in finding a wife that will appreciate his sexual preferences. Jonathan’s clan brother tells him that New York is the perfect city to find anything under the sun, so Jonathan moves there in search of a wife.

A walk in Central Park gets interesting when Jonathan spies a woman bringing down a mugger. Seeing the real New York with his new friend Kenya as a tour guide opens the door to new possibilities for Jonathan. It’s a shame that Kenya’s not his type of woman. Or is she?

Sometimes people can’t see the forest for of the trees and that is exactly what happened to Jonathan. Kenya is a strong and beautiful woman with an open mind when it comes to sex. I nearly wanted to bash Jonathan when he failed to see the light bulb in the beginning. I almost felt he didn’t deserve such a wonderful woman because he was taking too long to realize her worth. Kenya is so sassy and surprising there is no way readers won’t love her. Littlejohn united a perfect pair and I would love to read more about their lives together after Jonathan’s Bite of the Apple.

The next vampire in line who is to be granted a wife is Sebastian Santos. However, Sebastian is less than jazzed because he really does not care for humans. Their only purpose to him is for feeding. A wife would destroy his solitude but he had to carry out his duty to the clan. Finding his mate sleeping on his porch one evening came as a complete shock.

Amber was frightened of all the things Sebastian made her feel and she was wondering if he might be crazy. Sebastian had just asked her to be his wife and revealed himself as being a vampire the first time she met him. And to make matters weirder, she felt drawn to him.

Sebastian’s Surrender gave me another taste of Dana Littlejohn’s wonderful writing style. Sebastian made a quick change the second he became aware of Amber and that made him seem softer. I enjoyed the fact that Amber was hesitant about getting involved with Sebastian, but I wish her turmoil had dragged on a bit longer. If you enjoyed the first two books of the series, then this one is a must read.

Detective Gerald Dixon is recuperating in Louisiana from a bad wound he suffered in the line of duty. He is tired, hurt and confused about his future life.  Will he give up and retire as requested?   Then on a one-day trip to New Orleans his life took a sudden turn.  He found an unbelievable request to help a ghost free herself form a voo-doo spell. Gerald did not believe in ghosts.  Only a person who did not beleive in voo-doo could help break the spell.  Gerald definitely did not believe in voo-doo.  To help the ghost Margarita he had to perform a mental challenge, a physical challenge and a challenge that would require him to push his own beliefs to a whole new level.

Ms. Dana Littlejohn has created a first class fantasy story with a touch of erotic sex and a nice romantic ending.  The storyline is creative and well thought out.  I was captured with how Gerald was able to move his life from recuperation pain to one that will give him the happiness he didn’t have and never new he needed. The ghost Margarita is a wonderful character that spiced up Gerald’s life and made me want to see her be released from the spell that was cast over her many years ago.  The story flowed at just the right pace for an easy reading in one sitting.  The erotic sex scene helped to make the decision by Gerald to help Margarita believable.  I found the sex scene well written, but not as sizzling as I wanted.  The story builds to a nice ending that lead me to visualize a romantic adventure beginning for Gerald and Margarita.  I recommend this book to readers that like fantasy stories with a little erotic twist and a nice romantic ending.

Summer is forced to go to a Valentine’s Day party with her boss. She’s reluctant because this is a day for lovers and she doesn’t have a lover and hasn’t for a long time. At the party she meets the charming Peter Cook and he takes an instant shine to Summer leading her down a path of sensuality that she follows without thinking twice. When their time together comes to an end she worries that she’ll be fired for ducking her boss to be with Peter.
Will she be able to save her job and have Peter too when the party is all said and done?
A Valentine's Day party when you are single has never been this good! Trust me, if any of my Valentine's Day parties (while I'm single) are like that, I'll be there with bells on! Peter and Summer make a wonderful couple. Their playfullness and passion in such a short tale stunned me. For those of you who don't believe in fate? This story has a little something special for you!
Lover's Brew is another example of how an interracial story doesn't always have to be set around racial issues. Everyone doesn't have to hate everyone else for it to work. Interracial love can be sweet, delicate and breath-taking.
Lover's Brew makes a wonderful read for a cold winter's night or on a night or when you feel for a little something extra hot. So pick up a copy and wake your partner, because this story will make you have a very hot night. For making something as boring as fate and a Valentine's Day party while still single so hot, Ms. Littlejohn gets four roses from the REC!

Author: Dana Littlejohn
Genre: Erotic romance/MC/IR, Paranormal
ISBN: 978-1-60435-038-8
Length: Short Story

Is Mikhail vampire enough to take what he wants or will the man in him want more?

Mikhail Jamison is a vampire of The Dioni Clan, the last of their kind. He has been given the privilege to choose a wife for his services rendered during the werewolf wars. He has set his sight on a beautiful dancer, Christina Martinez. Upon their first meeting Christina has made it clear she was not interested in him. He has heard too much, about what having your own wife would be like and can’t let her get away. Realizing he has started off on the wrong foot with his chosen mate he knows he must now dig deep into the training of his elders to convince her that her first impression of him was wrong and it is her destiny to be with him. Whose destiny will it become the Vampire’s or his prey? Will his chosen mate show him there is more than just the dark side of life?

Dana Littlejohn has done an amazing job spinning this tale of need and desire. With the steam pouring off the pages, I couldn't put it down. I must commend Ms. Littlejohn on the direction she took, it was risky yet courageous. Mikhail's determination to win the woman is heartwarming. But I must say Christina's original reaction to him made me laugh. I am excited to see what comes next in the Dioni Chronicles, and I have no doubt that it will be as captivating as this one.

Will the warrior be able to rebuild his clan or will he just get a taste of temptation?

Jonathan Destori is a warrior with exceptional skill and was chosen as one of the first few to rebuild his clan. He is happy with his circumstances, but worries that his different sexual appetites will hinder him in finding a suitable mate in this century. On the advice of a clan brother he travels to New York for a change of atmosphere. During his stay in the fast paced city he befriends the beautiful Kenya. Will The Big Apple offer him everything he's looking for and all that he needs?

Normally, I wouldn't be sorry to not have read the first story to a series but this time, I am definately going to get it. Jonathon's Bite of the Apple is an amazing read. I started reading it and could not stop until the story was finished.  Jonathan was a beautiful soul (can you say that about a vampire?) and believable. I would have loved to see Kenya fleshed out some more because she is such a power woman and we need to see more of that in female characters in reading romance. Sexy, saucy and hot...what more can you ask for in a vampire read?

Format: EBOOK

The Dioni clan is a group of the last known vampires who survived the war with the werewolves. After achieving great success in the war, the leader of the clan brought Mikhail forth and blessed him with a mate as a reward; a wife of his very own. Mikhail knows in his heart, with all his being, he’ll have no doubts about the woman he chooses to mate with. And he is right.

Upon meeting Christina at a local club, he sees her fluid movements of dance and knows she’s the one. So he sets out on a hunt to seduce her, and prepare her for his type of lifestyle.

Christina, however, sees him as a stalker. Scared, she refuses to talk to him in person, which only causes Mikhail to resort to speaking to her through her dreams. Somehow he calms her, each one of his words a caress of seduction, until she finally surrenders. But when Mikhail offers her a perfect life, what he asks in return is perhaps more than she’s willing to pay.

Mikhail’s story is book one in the Dioni Chronicles and I must say, after reading it, I can’t wait to see what Ms. Littlejohn has in store for her readers next. Off to a great start, Mikhail and Christina are wonderful characters brought to life by Ms. Littlejohn’s words. I enjoyed Mikhail’s persistence and determination and Christina’s stubbornness. THE DIONI CHRONICLES BOOK ONE: MIKHAIL’S HUNT is a wonderful read for lovers of the paranormal genre.

Tony is part of a gang called the Latin Lovers.  They don’t deal in hard drugs, but they do sell weed and play the role of tough guys against their nemeses, the Knight Riders.  To that group, nothing is sacred.  Even killing for the sake of proving oneself.  Tony has already told Rickey, the leader of the Latin Lovers, that he wants out.  He has plans for a future that don’t include being part of a gang.  His woman is his world and he aims to make her proud.

Shanita is the beautiful black woman Tony loves.  She’s his angel and the person who has given purpose to his live. She takes her obligations seriously and is a no-nonsense type of gal.  She’s already encouraged her guy to get his GED and now he’s taking some college courses.  When he speaks of marriage and their future together, she doesn’t object.

The Lover and The Firefly is a compelling story of a man embroiled in a gang lifestyle.  While he can be sweet and tender with his woman, he’s forced to exhibit a tough bravado to survive among his peers.  When his gang leader and best friend, Rickey, is killed, Tony finds himself accused of trying to move into a leadership role.  It falls to him to find the person responsible for Rickey’s death or face losing his own life.  His continued insistence that he wants out to build a future with Shanita raises doubts about his sincerity among the gang. Tony’s forced to prove his innocence and his loyalty.  He’s mortified when Shanita ends up being a pawn in the war between the two factions, but relieved to find some of his brothers still believe him and help save her life.

While I found the gang lore realistic and the romance believable, I was disappointed in the editing. At times it pulled me right out of the story, and I had to go back and re-read parts again.  I thought this story could have been even better had the punctuation evened out the flow in the sentence structure.  Dana Littlejohn writes with emotion and depth, and I was pulled into the action along with the characters.  Her ‘gangsta’ English lent a very credible feel to the story.  I did notice some novice traits, so I’m assuming she’s fairly new to the writing world.  I look forward to more of her stories and watching her blossom.  I wouldn’t hesitate to read more of her work.

he considers a family heirloom, Cairo has a lot on her plate.  But
some things are more important and when Cairo prioritizes,
everything falls into place.

The Sun Rose Over Cairo was a novel that made you think that this
could so happen to someone in real life.  Ms. Littlejohn's characters
could have easily been any group of friends and the hilarious things
they go through on a daily basis.  I can really relate to knowing someone
nicknamed "Pumkin" that has a first name that makes most people say, "Huh?" The gradual romance between Jose and Cairo started out as
friends and then progressed to lovers who I thought would stand the
test of marriage and become one of the "Old Marriages" that lasted "until death do us part."  I so enjoyed the characters in this book that I hope
to see what happens to the other women in their quest to find Mr. Right.
