hung on nothing
 
evening
baked in butter
scotch stung absence
creates
thoughts turned retrospective search
party ready household
held hostage
by balance sought silently
tonight not given to any other
festivity -
just a stir of what will fuel memories
fifty years further removed from limelight -
taken
 
over by less-is-more
theory for human vacancies -
no
 
one could possibly covet the space
made bearable by utter
emptiness
