Moments Before Madonna...
Mike Fuentes writes: "I made this photo last April. After taking the
photo I noticed other photographers running and hiding behind chairs and
lifeguard stands like they were army men in a war. They would take out
their cameras like guns, shooting at a woman running along the beach. It
turned out to be Madonna.
I really went to the beach for this photo, but as she ran by I shot
her photo, too. As she ran by, I told her, "Madonna, I love you!" I was
just being nice but was probably seen as just as one of those idiots that
was chasing her down the beach.
The simplicity and timing of this shot makes it great. If it was shot
in the middle of the day instead of sunset, it would just not be the same.
I shot this photo with a 70-200mm f2.8 lens on a Canon 1D. I think the
white balance was probably on shade, as that is my favorite setting."
