Annie Bien

Annie Bien was born in Hong Kong, lives in New York, and received her first commission for playwriting at the Soho Theatre Company in London.  Her poems have appeared in Quattrocento (UK), Snakeskin (UK), Loch Raven Review, Andwerve, and will soon appear in Cadenza Magazine (UK).  She has been nominated for the 2006 Pushcart Prize.

Howard Good
Howard Good, a journalism professor at SUNY New Paltz, is the author of the poetry chapbook, Death of the Frog Prince (FootHills Publishing, 2004). His poems have appeared in numerous print and online journals, including Right Hand Pointing, Stirring, Slow Trains, Poetry Bay, Sidewalk’s End, Plum Ruby Review, Wilmington Blues, The Rose & Thorn, 2River View, Prairie Poetry, Eclectica, and Lily.

Paul Silverman has worked as a newspaper reporter, sandwich man, olive packer and advertising creative director. One of his commercials won a Silver Lion at Cannes. His stories have appeared in Tampa Review, The South Dakota Review, The North Atlantic Review, Word Riot, In Posse Review, The Pedestal Magazine, The Timber Creek Review, The Front Range Review, The Jabberwock Review, Jewish Currents, The Coe Review, Hobart Online, Lily, Amarillo Bay, The Adirondack Review, The Paumanok Review, Smokelong Quarterly, Subterranean Quarterly, Thieves Jargon,The Summerset Review, and others. His piece, “Getaway,” published by Verbsap, is on the 2006 Million Writers Award shortlist list of Notable Online Stories.  Byline Magazine, The Worcester Review and Lily have nominated his stories to the Pushcart Committee. New work was recently accepted by Oyster Boy Review, Cricket Online Review and Alimentum.

Karen Slagle
Karen Slagle writes: "I am a native Texan and my Texas roots go back to 1822, before it was a state,  when my mother's family moved here.  I still live in Texas and always will.  I'm a retired government employee and spend my days taking photographs of mainly horses.  I have always had a passion for Arabian horses and now I own 3.  They are my inspiration and I find beauty in everything they do.  It just seems natural that cameras and horses go hand in hand."
