After the award-winning album 'Songs about Jane', Maroon 5 is back with their second hit
album, 'It Won't Be Soon Before Long', albeit after quite a
long time. Album cover is packaged in a more stylish way,
and with all members sporting long hair except for lead
Adam Levine, it is quite a different image portrayed. Hit song
'Makes Me Wonder' doesn't impress me the most, though
these fast numbers are really catchy, along with the groovy 'Wake up call' and 'Little of your
time'. 'Won't go home without you' depicts the regret of lost love in a unique and beautiful
melody. I still prefer the slower ballads which they bring out so well - 'Nothing Lasts
Forever','Not Falling Apart','Better That We Break' etc. The emo piece 'Goodnight
Goodnight' and the jazzy 'Back At Your Door' really keeps you humming along. Overall
it is much more explicit than in the previous album, esp in 'Kiwi'. Still the nice tunes will
keep you listening to the CD over and over again, at least it was worth it for me. Bought
the Maroon 5 shirt for just $1 along with the cd too!

What is the world or rather our climate coming to? Freak weather everywhere,
from a snowless Japan to hurricanes in the Americas, floods in India to lack
of glaciers in New Zealand. And 2006 being the hottest year in record for
128 years...Inconsiderate Man has caused global warming to take its toll, albeit
at a fast rate and with scary consequences.
It is to the extent of seeing news about the climate crisis practically everyday, with
people left to deal with the abnormalities the freak weather has caused to their
lives. We all know the Day After Tomorrow will come eventually as Man
continues to harm Mother Earth, but I did not expect it to be this soon.
She is unleashing her wrath, in response to our abusal of her precious
resources that were only meant to not provide for our selfish desires.
Freak weather=deaths, is it near the end of the world too? I want to
have a chance to appreciate nature at its best, so let us all do our
part to prevent this beauty from dying. Do our part to stop global
warming.
The Considerate Man changes himself to suit the world; The
Inconsiderate Man changes the world to suit himself.
