A bit about Paradise
Hi! My
name is Jan and
I live in the Bahamas on the Island of New Providence. The
capital of the Bahamas, Nassau, is located here along with the most
visited island in the Bahamas....Paradise Island. The fabulous
Atlantis and Ocean Club Resorts are located on Paradise Island.
It's truly a beautiful place to visit. New Providence has 3
championship golf courses all designed by PGA pros like Greg Norman and
Jack Nichlaus. The Atlantis is currently adding more features
including a Dolphin encounter featuring 12 Dolphins that were stranded
after hurricane Katrina. The beaches in the Bahamas are
beautiful. The best is without question on the Island of
Eleuthra. Harbour Island and most of the Eleuthra beaches are
pink caused by the abundant coral reefs located all around the
islands. The Caribbean waters are beautiful. Crystal clear
and many shades of blue that make it truly a gem among the oceans of
the world. The shopping here is unique. Jewelry is duty
free and I have never seen better quality or selection anywhere.
There are two Malls (if you are into mall shopping) on the
island. The downtown offers many gift shops and wonderful
restaurants with Bahamian, American and Greek cuisine. If you are
