oded fehr biography
Oded Fehr was born on November 23rd of 1970 in Tel-Aviv, Israel to a father of German ancestry and a mother of both Spanish and Dutch descent. Oded has an older brother, an older sister (both of whom were born in the U.S.A.) and a younger half sister.
When Oded was 15, his parents divorced and his father moved to Frankfurt, Germany while his mother stayed in Israel. At age 18, Oded joined the Israeli Navy and worked mostly in intelligence and counter-intelligence. He served 3 years. Soon after that, Oded attended three different universities and joined his father in Germany where he planned to work with his father in marketing and telecommunications. After six months, he decided it wasn't the job for him. During all that time though, Fehr had attended a small drama course at the English Theatre in Frankfurt. Eventually this course landed him a role in a production of Sexual Perversity in Chicago by David Mamet.
From that moment, Fehr knew what profession he would like -acting. So with the approval of his father, he moved to London and attended the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School from 1994-1997. He then did a stage play at the Courtyard Theatre (London) called Don Juan Comes Back From War, in which he held the lead role.
Six months after his 1997 graduation from Bristol Old Vic, Fehr was cast as Ardeth Bay in the hit 1999 motion picture, The Mummy.Later that year, he also appeared in the comedy Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo opposite Rob Schneider. In 2001, he reprised his role as Ardeth Bay in the also successful The Mummy Returns
Since then, Fehr has picked up numerous roles on both the big screen and television. Oded had two short lived television series :NBC's UC: Undercover (2001) and CBS' Presidio Med (2003). His most recent television appearances included a guest role on The WB's Charmed (in 2005) and a large role in Showtime's Sleeper Cell (2005).
Recently, Fehr appeared as Carlos Olivera in Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004) and is soon to appear in a film called Dreamer (2005) opposite Kurt Russell and Dakota Fanning.

misc. facts
Here are some random (but quite interesting) facts that I couldn't really incorporate into the bio I wrote.
-Oded has a tattoo of a ghost on his back. When asked about it's meaning he said, "I wish there was a meaningful reason for it, but it was just something I did when I was 19."
-He is 6 foot 1.
-His favorite book is "To Kill A Mockingbird" by Harper Lee
-He plays guitar.
-He doesn't like ice cream.
-He and Rhonda practice Hapkido.
-In The Mummy, whenever you see Ardeth ride a horse, its a stuntman, not Oded. But in the sequel, he did all his own riding.
-In 1999, in People's 'Sexiest Men Alive' issue, Oded was voted "Sexiest Import". This happened while he was dating Rhonda and he said after that came out, "she just wouldn't have anything to do with me."
-As a child he was teased for his ears. "They stuck out a bit", he once said in an interview.
