About my art work

      I produce my art work, using many different mediums and techniques, this web site a small sample of a much larger body of work. I have a number of different themes running through the work, for example change and transformation taking the shape of masks of differing kinds. These masks can be literally a masked figure but I have extended this to a metaphor  for  social mask such in the way we act in differing situations with different people. At the moment my art  work is moving  between the seamingly differing poles of abstraction and the figurative but also  between from serious and humorous, freely, with no allegiance to either extreme. Although lately I have began to separate in my mind my abstract work which is almost entirely subjective, this  is about an inner dialogue and therefore is much more personal and for this reason, I feel they requires little explanation to others to justify its existence but I am aware its not for everyone.
