Past

Thanksgiving War (irony anyone?)

There were only eight of us but it was awesome. A little cold but still fun. One CTF round Veggie's little brother had an RF20 that the other team didn't know about. He was in a bunker a few feet behind the flag. When one of the guys came to grab it, the little guy unloaded like all the darts on him. The snow falling all war added a nice affect.

(Saturday) September 24th, 2005; 4:00pm - 8:00pm

One of the largest wars in Michigan nerf history with over 20 participants at peak. Several stages of the battle included CTF, anarchy/dodgeball and other improvised games. Movie footage will hopefully be edited for online publication. NerfHQ forum thread here.

June/July 2005 Series

In a 2 week period, 3M participated in a series of three wars. They were all quite fun. We planned them on the nerfHQ forums (thread here). Two were hosted at the central household. The first war (June 24th) involved many experienced non-nerfer friends. The second (Friday the 1st) war included the Dark Wolves, and was considered by Lil' Brudder as "The best nerf war in the world." The third in the series (Tuesday the 5th) was near Exterminator's house, and allowed us to explore a new school in Troy. Shorter war, but a fun one nonetheless. [no pictures unfortunately]

May War

Hosted by the DarkWolves. DW were quite a match in several pistol rounds. 3M dominated the rounds on the parking structure. In the Nerfuler arms race, 3M has the upper hand.

April Michigan Open War(AMOW)

Location:Firefighters park in Troy Michigan (map here)
Date & Time:Sunday the 17th of April; 4:30pm - 6:30pm (may go later)

Lots of fun for this short war. Played entirely in the far end of park soccer fields. Tested new game "Beast Feast" (see the games page). We played a fun variant of dodgeball using only arrows and a small circle boundary. After some participants left, we developed a 1on1 game, and ended with a 3vs3 game that degenerated into a sniper-behind-dead-human-fortress match. Loads of fun, and surely a good lead-into a fun summer of nerf.

WEMMO
Third successful parking structure war. Frigid and icy, but an awesome time was had.

Pumpkin's Revenge
We played on the parking structure again. Four 3M nerfers, an experienced guest, and two guys who hadn't nerfed before. The multi-level Capture-the-Flag was quite extreme, and we played really hard. We also had several intense "firefight" wars where we had one sided seige. The two newb's seemed to enjoy themselves and really were a useful contribution to the war. Hopefully they will participate in the future.

TPW (Team Points War)
An awesome war. The alphas won. War rules here. Warrior pictures here: ALPHAS, MUTEFORES.

MATEY (Michigan Arms Toward Ecological Youngins)
Probably the best war of the summer, with attendees from both 3M and the the Dark Wolves, played on the Dark Wolves' home turf (literally). There was quite a twist to this one though. READ ON!

SMOW (Summer in Michigan Open War)
SMOW had about 15 attendees, and although 3M was the only clan represented, we had an enjoyable little shindig.

DDGA (Destruction in Disc Golf Alley) Date: April 17th, 2004
Location:Troy, Michigan
Description: At the peak, we had 22 nerfers (this peak lasted all of 15 minutes). We had a ton of fun, and went until about 8:30. For the majority of the war we had 16+ people, with the number fluctuating constantly. We brought over 10 people. Click here to see us.

Although 3M wasn't...hmmm... officially chartered, some members did participate in "COC" hosted by the Dark Wolves of Utica, MI. We have some nice pictures of us hanging out there.
