Welcome to Matters of the Heart!

First of all I want to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus for giving me this gift and passion for music! Next, props to my son Jesse who created this Web site for me, thank you, I love you!! (By the way he's only 13!!) I have been singing since the age of 5, in church, at school, at work and at home I've always had a passion for music. I DO NOT know how to read music, I have the gift of singing by ear,I think I failed every written test I had in chior, I just couldn't grasp it. I've always been able to listen and sing,which makes this CD even more special because all we had was the Lyrics and Dewaynes music, I just listened and sang what fit, it is an AWSOME gift!!

I signed with a Record Company called Incubator Records in 2004; unfortunately due to personal circumstances I was not able to complete my 2-year contract. As most people know you have ups and downs in life, this was one of those downs, but as they say when life gives you lemons make lemonade. I happened to make a whole Pitcher, a Cd called Matters of the Heart (M.o.t.h) with the help of several friends and acquaintances at my local church (East Flint Church of the Nazarene) including my friend Dewayne Morris; without whom this Cd would not be possible.

Special thanks also to Terry Locke who has offered his time and knowledge in putting the CDs together and last but not least my family for loving and beleiving in me when others were skeptical.

I love you all and thank you for all your support now and later as God leads me.
