Greetings ~ !  I'm Nancy Gray & I'm a mixed-media artist living in San Antonio, Texas USA with my husband & 2 wonderful canines.  Here on this site, I present my classic Sex Pistols, Ramones & Runaways photos, & soon ~ T-Shirts.  Trip back with me to the Texas punk scene of Randy's Rodeo/Ballroom in Alamo Town in the late 70's and check out what I witnessed & immortalized on 35mm film.  Many of us knew at the time we were there what you already know - That this ironic mix of shows at a cowboy bar frequented by many C&W artists & big-haired, swingin'-hipped ladies with lots of hairspray & bathed heavily in perfume ~ The Sex Pistols, The Ramones, The Runaways ~ were historical (& sometimes hysterical) events NOT to be missed!    

I think the Aquanet ladies might have missed those shows though...they were busy taking $3.50 tickets at the window and they all looked like my mother. 

The infamous Sex Pistols show at Randy's on the night of January 8, 1978  here in San Antonio, TX is widely known to be their best performance on their short 7-city (originally 11-city) U.S. stint.   Randy's is still open right up the road, serving up Bingo these days.  They were having metal bands there for awhile, and we got to go back to jam out & see what I could remember about the place, which wasn't alot! ~ even though it has not been renovated much since.  The former bowling alley was a helluva lot bigger than I remembered.  The original neon Randy's sign is still up to this day. 

Music fan & Webmaster Randall Anthony of Austin has been tremendously helpful & has lots of great info on his site.   We got to meet Randy & his wife at the 25th Anniversary photo exhibit that I did here in 2003 for First Friday in King William-Southtown.  Here are just some of Randy's Pistols links with a few more of my pics:
