FRANK L. FISCHER

Frank, son of Anton and Monica (Wilhelm) Fischer was born in Moorhead, MN. He grew up and attended school in Moorhead. After completing school he enlisted in the United States navy in from September 6, 1945 until July 25, 1946 and served in the Pacific. He married Evelyn Schwinden on May 13, 1950 at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Fargo. He was employed by Pepsi Bottling Company of Fargo, Fairmont Foods as a route driver in Moorhead, Fargo Street Department and North Dakota Highway Department. Frank retired in 1986. He lived in rural Glyndon, MN for a short time after retiring, moving to Fargo and then to the ND Veterans Home on April 25, 2005. Frank enjoyed playing cards and bingo He is survived by four children, 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, one brother and one sister. Funeral services were held in Fargo, ND on October 1st with a memorial service at the NDVH on Thursday, October 18th, 2007.
