3d modeling &
Rendering

A studio course in the theory and techniques
of three-dimensional (3-D) modeling utilizing
appropriate software. Topics include the creation
and modification of 3-D geometric shapes, variety
of rendering techniques, and the use of camera light
sources, texture and surface mapping.

~ Houston Community College

This 3D Modeling & Rendering class involved the use of the program 3D Studio Max 6. The program itself was hard to learn and the modeling was an even longer process. There were 4 projects total, but students had many exercises with making basic shapes and placing them in a 3D world. Cutting out objects and placing object together was the easy part, but the textures and making them look real in a 3D world was a difficult task to accomplish.

NOTE: You will need to be able to play AVI Movies.
