Internship with yippi.com

Yippi.com (or yippikya.com or yippykya.com) is a networking website in which you can communicate with other people around the world. Like myspace.com, yippi.com has some of the same features with additional perks like live broadcasting, chat rooms, the ability to load your own videos, and also hot spots in town to visit as well as your school's own page. My internship started in late Augest 2007 and ended in early December 2007. I was hired because yippi.com was looking for someone in their design department who was skilled in web design and html. To read more about these requirements please click "Skills Needed".

Each project will tell you about what needed to be done and the final design of the project. You can also view the projects from yippi.com (links will be avaible to view the project at yippi.com. Note that the design or layout might have change over the past few months.)

For our internship class we also needed to do entries for class each week. To see some of these entries please click "Journal Entries." No more entries have been made since December 2007.

We also had to go to a job meeting for class to learn how job meetings are conducted. Mine was held at an awards ceremony for the ADCH (Art Directors Club of Houston) in which we had to enter in a design contest. To learn more about the meeting please click "Job meeting" above.

The last project of the class was to interview someone working in my field outside of the internship and learn about their company to help better decide what area I want to specialization in (design, web programing, illustration, ect). To read about this interview please click "Job interview."
