Introduction

Hello everyone, I am Nicoletta Maranos. I am a student in Houston Community College since 2003 in the fall. I will be done this spring in 2007. I am studying in Multimedia Specialization. Although this is a JavaScript class and is more into the programming than design, I still think it will be a big help for when going into the work force. I am more of a design person than a program person to be honest. Design is what I am studying but programming is something that I want to get into since it will help me in the long run.

I'm pretty good when it comes to HTML. I took it in 2004 but I still keep up with HTML while taking classes in HCC. Making websites is fun for me since it mixes both design and coding at the same time. Plus it is a good skill to keep up with. I never took another scripting class and JavaScript is going to be very new to me. I only know very little from looking at other people's websites and trying to figure out what it is. I am hoping to not only learn JavaScript, but to also learn how to restrict people from getting into the coding in the websites and the “no right clicking” also. I don’t like people getting into my coding in my website because they can use that information or hack into my site. So JavaScript will help me to keep people out of my site and also I will like to learn the drop down menu and other nice little things that make a website better.

Other things I like are travel, digital art, and internet. Places I went to is Austin, Dallas, Germany, and Greece (many times). Digital art is more of a hobby for me and I have a website for my digital art. I have been into contests before and other digital art programs to learn more. I have my own website with my artwork up and others to see my work in other classes. The website is more of a portfolio of school and digital artwork.
